"magic" that we'll never hear about

One of the nice things about this forum is that one can read many "magical" trip reports that have occured. There are many stories of children's great experiences with characters or kind cast members. However, after reading those, an interesting thought crossed my mind.

As great as this forum is, it contains only a very small amount of "magic" that has occured at Disney parks. The reason? Not every person who has been to a Disney park is net-savvy enough to go on online forums. A person on another website estimated that the Disney parks get about 10 million unique visitors each year. It is reasonable to say that the total number of unique visitors is an order of magnitude higher. Although Disboards is currently the most popular Disney-related forum on the Internet, it only has around 160,000 users.

That means that a lot of "magical" experiences that have happened will never be read about. Imagine it if we had 160 million users!

I guess that we will have to embark on the "ship of the imagination" (as the late Carl Sagan put it) to experience the remaining ~99.9% of the "magic."

I'm kind of glad there aren't quite that many visitors to the DIS! I'd never be able to keep up. It would be overwhelming. I spend enough time here as it is.
