On a 14 night Eastbound Transatlantic cruise, how many Palo Brunch days will there be?

However many sea days as there are. Brunch is only served on sea days.
Not meant to be snippy but not always true. On our 11 night Norway/Iceland/Scotland there was also a Palo Brunch on our Reykjavik day that we overnighted. Friends of ours went to this one. It was also the last one to fill up as I don't think many people knew to check for it.

I agree it's very likely it will be on sea days only and clearly the OP should have plenty to choose from. :)

I agree. In re-reading, my response seems a little short. Sorry. Generally, it's only on sea days. On occasion, it has been served on late port arrival days, as well as those days that involved an overnight port stop.

Brunch is my favorite. We do it every cruise that we can.

Definitely agree that even though we love dinner at Palo, we think brunch there is incredible.

Would love to experience Palo with DD in our upcoming cruise but he isn't one for seafood, at all! Anyone know if they serve it during brunch?? I hear brunch can sometimes be better than dinner. He's pretty open to trying new cuisine but seafood is an absolute no go. Thoughts?

Thanks everyone!

Our brunch on the recent Magic cruise was on Key West day, with a scheduled port arrival of noon.

There are dozens of non-seafood options to choose from. And, I am not exaggerating - dozens. On Saturday I think the only seafood I had was a bit of salmon mousse.

IMO, brunch is better than dinner. Yes, there is seafood, but there's lots of other stuff that he doesn't even have to worry about not taking any of it.

Thanks so much for the photos PrincessShmoo! Hmm, so it's a buffet style brunch? Goodness, I have a lot to learn! LOL! Is it less expensive to select brunch vs. dinner? And does the attire become more casual since it's brunch?

Sorry for the 21 questions, thanks a lot!

Well, yes, it buffet, mostly. You are escorted to your table and they take your drink order. Then the server will take you to the buffet area and show/explain all the different foods to you. And one of the stations (eggs Benedict, chicken Parmesan, pizzas, etc) you order once you're back at your table. And you can always return to the buffet.

About how much time might one need in order to really enjoy brunch at Palo? Just wondering how long we will need to have DS in the club.

last week we were there for about 90 minutes... we were drinking though so that might have added more time :)

Another bit off topic question.. How does Palo Dinner compare to brunch as far as food variety and options? And is Palo dinner pretty much self paced as well?

Seems like a huge difference to me. Dinner is an elegant experience, at night, with appetizers, antipasto, northern Italian cuisine, several main dishes to choose from, and of course chocolate soufflé. Brunch is just that, pretty informal, a daytime affair, food tables with lots of options and you can eat just a bit of many of them with multiple visits, plus several breakfast and lunch dishes you can order separately (larger servings, typical of a restaurant). Way different feeling to me, but both are a subdued atmosphere and neither are hurried in the least.

Dinner of course will have some pacing set by the fact you are ordering courses, but there's no rush at all we have ever, ever felt in about 25 meals there on all 4 ships (we're Grand Slam Plus, but the Big Red Boat didn't have an upscale restaurant that I remember).
