We are kinda last minute planning for a possible June 2 cruise on the magic out of New York. Have never been to New York and a little leery. We would be flying in the night before and travel agent has us at Marquis, which seems like a very nice hotel in Times Square. Will there be Disney transportation from Laguardia airport to the hotel? We are paying for transfers. I guess there will be a number of cruisers staying there since this is the one Disney set up. Also, what are the times of the Disneyworld portion of the cruise? Is the bus ride to the parks as well as the tickets included? Are we on our own for food in the park? What time do we need to be on the ship when it leaves? Thanks for any info. Steve

This thread is full of NYC info for cruises: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2704317

If your TA has booked the hotel on it's own you will have to find transportion to the hotel from the airport. Your TA should be able to tell you your transport options and what is included in your booked transfers thru DCL.
The info for the WDW portion of your Port Canaveral day can be found on DCL's website. A park hopper ticket and transportion is included in your cruise fare.

Disneyworld portion... "6-15a to Mid" in port at PC. Buses start around 7a to the parks. Buses back to the ship start at 3:30pm. The bus is included and has to be signed up for like any port adventure. The park hopper is your KTTW card. On your own for food in the park. Last bus leaves the parks at 11pm.

I live in NJ so I can't help you with the NYC hotel portion/transfers.

The Marriott Marquis is a great hotel... it is right in the middle of Time Square which is now like an amusement park itself...very exciting place to be.

I used to work at the building next store...MTV...

Toys R Us - Times Square is across the street, as well as , the ABC studios.

Hopefully you can get out and walk around in the morning before you head over to the ship. NYC is really great....have a wonderful time on your cruise.

DHubby and I are on a 2 Night on 6/15 on the Magic out of NYC...for us it is a car ride.:lovestruc

I've lived in NYC my who life and there is tons to do. If you are planning on staying in the city for a few days. Id highly recommend the museum of natural history, and take a ride on the Staten Island Ferry (which is free). You will get some great pictures of the statue of liberty, Ellis Island, and of course the famous city skyline with the new WTC really climbing high now. Take the ferry at night and see the city lite up. Its great site to see and the ferry runs all night.

I can't speak to the transfers and whatnot but I stayed at the Marriott Marquis last August before my (Carnival) cruise.

1. It's a beautiful hotel and the rooms are large for a NYC hotel.
2. The Disney Store is right across the street.
3. Junior's Restaurant is on the side street of the hotel - it has the world's best cheesecake (and they have a take out bakery which sells a variety of flavours by the slice if you don't want to eat dinner there - I really recommend trying it if you love cheesecake) and it also serves a great breakfast.

Here's some pictures. I really can't recommend this restaurant enough. They do have a website if you want to check out the prices.

Hi Jenn! Please do come join our thread or the Facebook group - or BOTH. We seem to be chatting more on FB. We are planning a DISmeet on the ship on the first day.

We will be driving in the day before from Ohio.
