I haven't been to the Magic of Disney Animation in years. Honestly I found the movie and activities to be kind of boring and not nearly as good as the old set up used to be. I used to love watching the artists work.

I'm seeing people talk about the animation academy though, and it sounds like fun. I'd really like to try it. Can you tell me if the drawing tables are accessible? Or do you have to transfer? What are the seats like?

Also I was wondering if the same computer games are in the activity area, or have they put new ones in? Are they fun for adults and worth trying?

I also miss the way it was. It's sad to see the empty desks in what used to be a busy working studio.

The drawing academy is interesting. You get to watch an artist drawing a character in front of you and then the artist guides you through drawing a character.
Here's a link a recent DIS unplugged Blog about it.

The drawing tables are accessible. My DD was able to drive her wheelchair to park under the table with no problem. The back row had some spots without chairs for guests using wheelchairs.

The activities have not been changed recently,in terms of what they do. They involve things like re-recording voices.

Enter the Animation Academy studio SLOWLY!!!! You need to make a 45º right turn as SOON as you're through the door. Pull too far forward and you'll be heading down the stairs, instead!
