Magic ~ October 22, 2016 ~ 7 nights NYC/Bahamas/WDW/NYC

HI Everyone!

The countdown continues... only 70 Days!

What, if anything, has everyone done for eating at WDW - have you made reservations and for which meal(S)?
We are having breakfast onboard, lunch and Liberty Tree and then we will grab something light at the park or perhaps later once back on board. We will head back to the ship longer before 11pm! I envy those of you that will do the full day or all parks in one day!

I have some cool pictures from past years at Halloween time onboard (we've done 2 previous Halloween cruises, not by design, it just happens to be the time when we generally vacation). I will try to find a few and post here. Any specific requests?

Enjoy,

I was going to make ADRs but then I realized that Food & Wine should probably be going on at Epcot. So we're doing that.

I am quite new here... Think I might've posted my reply in the wrong place :P . Just to make sure... I would love to participate in FE.

:( Hello? Hope to hear from you all.

Hi Lgomez28, no worries Seaspray will reply, I believe she hasn't been feeling well. You are in the right place though for FE sign-up as well as other fun and chatter about our trip!

I like your idea of the tot... My kids are older (13yr old b/g twins). Not sure what the will be up to, but I am sure we could figure out something for your girls to come and tot at our cabin... My kids would love to answer the door for them, I am sure.

Replies take a while here, But seaspray will reply in a day or so I'm sure, check back daily for replies!

Thanks for covering for me, Carol! :sunny: :thanks:

Thank you! So excited! I was sort of a train wreck... Though I had ruined my chances of joining for posting about the ToT.. Or I was just doing it all wrong and the post weren't received in the other end... But I guess I just takes a title longer for responses... Thank you for your hard work!

I actually thought about the ToT ... Glad to hear you think is a good idea. I was beginning to think it might be a little hard to accomplish. This is my first DCL trip and I don't know what to expect... For now aim super excited of FE... I love DIY and thing on Sale... Come to think of it they would love finding treats there when we come to our cabin. :D...

Hey everyone,

I see most of you have been on a DCL cruise before, I have a question I've been dying to ask.
How do FPs work. Do I get to schedule my FPs the night before, 30 days or do they give me paper FPs.... Also can I stil schedule a 4th FPs after using my allowed 3... I know that for my regular wdw trip I was able to do that don't know if DCL is the same.

Thank you

They are more like the paper fast passes, you can't make them in advance but you can use them on any ride and for any time slot, no prescheduling necessary. I think the morning we get into port canaveral we should be able to add the one day hopper passes they give us to our my Disney experience accounts and make 3 fast passes for one park with that however the popular attractions likely won't have any fast passes left on them at that point.

There will be 3 "any time, any attraction" FPs pre-loaded onto our Key to the Kingdom card, so there is no need to pre-choose the attractions before we get to WDW. The Key to the World card is your boarding card, your onboard purchases card, your WDW park hopper ticket, as well as containing the FPs. I think that once we use the 3rd FP, we can schedule a 4th one in the park that we're in at the time, just like how the usual FPs work. There are a few sailings before ours, so we'll get the absolute definite info once they come back and posts their experiences. :)

Hi All,

I need sone insights on Palo brunch... Did you enjoy it? How long did you spend at lunch. And realistically, what should the average cost be... As well as what did you add for a tip?

We have scheduled it on all of our sailings this far, but always end up cancelling thinking it's too much time to waste for meal and not as a family. Once again we have scheduled it again, but for the end of the week thinking this might better timing for us and a nice way to end the trip.

Please share your thoughts and experiences.

Thanks!

Wow the thought of being able to use up to 6 FPs is great. I will definitely try to add the other 3 to my Disney experience account. Thank you.

Such a detailed explanation. Thank you. Although I must confess, am a little disappointed that I won't be getting 3 additional FPs on my Disney experience. :P :) that would've been amazing!

We LOVE brunch at Palo! I think we probably spent an hour and a half, but we didn't rush because we no particular reason to. Brunch is mostly self-serve so you can control how much time you spend. The only thing that you'd have to wait for would be any of the hot dishes that you could order from the kitchen.

The cost is $30 per person, plus tip. I can remember when there was no additional charge, then it went to $5 per person, then $15, and now it's up to $30. Tipping is up to your own discretion.

Here is a link to my web page with pictures from brunch on our 2012 Magic cruise:

We have brunch and dinner scheduled for this cruise; I'd skip dinner but my DH loves it, so I'll suffer through it for his sake. ;)

I agree, it would be awesome if we could do that!!!!! :D And I guess we'll find out for sure once the cruises before ours comeback. :)
