A very generous fellow Diser sent me this unused voucher for Magic Morning. Neither of us are familiar w/ how it works nor have we seen one before. I took a picture to see if anyone here knows?

It came w/ 6 day Park Hoppers "Everyone Pays Kids Price" and the Diser was told not to lose the voucher or they wouldn't be admitted for MM and the pass was good for all members in the party.

Hmmmm, I think perhaps they were misinformed. It says right on the bottom of that little slip that it is not valid for theme park admission.

I believe it was just used for information purposes only to tell when Magic Mornings are offered and what is offered. The actual MM entrance is embedded on the parkhopper magnetic strip (on the back of the ticket). Once you use your MM (one allowed per 3+ day hopper), the MM is taken off the strip so the turnstile CM knows that it has been used.

The exception to this one MM rule, is if you are staying on-site, in which case you get MM each morning it is offered by showing your hotel room key.

This ticket does have the magnetic strip on the back......

I willl ask when we get to the ticket booth (night before we go to the parks, NOT the morning of that would be a let down, lol) just to be sure but thought I'd ask on her as well. ;)

I'm thinking this is kind of a grey area issue. (Like FPs returns only available during a one hour time window......except when they're allowed all evening long ;)).

The key (i think) is that the voucher is "unused" (thus the magnetic strip wasn't activated).

MomtoNenas, i bet if you "ask the night before"...the answer will be a cautious "no" they are not transferable. But.... if you showed up at the turnstiles at :15 of MM... in tow with little ones, i bet they'd shuffle you right in.

& if not, just get in the Gen. Adm. line at :15 (for a 45 min. wait) with breakfast snacks & be first on the rope when they let you onto Main St.

It's not like you're using an unused ticket trying to get out of a paying an admission...but maybe i'm not thinking it through. Good luck & tell Toady hi for me if you get into MM.:thumbsup2

I agree with Dangermouse. You don't hand any separate voucher over for a Magic Morning, it's embedded in the ticket itself. This is just part of the receipt explaining what a Magic Morning is.

The Disneyland Resort does not offer vouchers of any sort which allow entry into Magic Morning at Disneyland Park. Guests of the Disneyland Resort with Magic Morning admissions will have them encoded onto their tickets.

The paper you showed is a information piece distributed to Guests to inform them of the specifics of the Magic Morning offering. It may not be used in and of itself to gain access to Disneyland Park, during or after Magic Morning.

And, for the record, the Disneyland Resort does not use magnetic strips on our Park Tickets. We use barcodes on our tickets.

I believe you're mixing us up with the Walt Disney World Resort, which does use Magnetic Stripes on their Magic Your Way Tickets.

We had one of those last year with our tickets - the CM where we picked up our tickets gave it to me and explained Magic Mornings, we had the GAT tickets which had the 2 MMs.

I definitely defer to the wise Dis Goddesses & a DLR CM.

But why would an informational piece of paper (that the OP has in her picture) have a "magnetic strip"....what could it be for?

do the park hopper passes the buy 4 days get 2 for free come with MM.

Wow, we've been elevated from Divas to Goddesses! princess:

Yep, they do! Any parkhopper that has 3 or more days on it gets you into one MM (with the exception of military passes and convention tickets).

What's funny is that Cheshire_Figment (works in WDW ticketing, moderator on the Dis) just mentioned "barcodes" about WDW tickets.

And DLR might not USE the stripes, but the tickets sure have 'em!

So was that piece of paper needed? Did you have to show it for one of the MMs? Did they scan it in some way?

:lmao:

Not all the Divas, Dangermouse......just the ones who know about bar codes & stuff.... & also the divas who know where to get the best knackwursts & corny dogs in DLR..... you all got the promotion. ;)

:cool2:

Yes, I'll 2nd this w/ a question :) Is the ticket just info or did they need it for your MM?

It is just info. There is no voucher needed at all for MM. Just a valid ticket or your hotel key if you are staying onsite.

I was given the exact same card in March when I picked up my PH at the ticket booth. The CM specifically told me that it was just for my information, and that it would not get me in the park. The only thing I needed to get in for the MM was my PH.

Also, I agree that Callie and Theresa deserve a promotion. :thumbsup2

It said "select" rides are open during MM. Can anyone tell me if Finding Nemo is open during MM?

From the MM superthread: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1675403

What attractions are open for MM?
Well the rides open are technically "subject to change", but here is a list of rides that can be open during this hour.

In Fantasyland:
-Peter Pan's Flight
-Dumbo
-Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
-Alice in Wonderland
-Mad Tea Party
-Matterhorn Bobsleds
-King Arthur Carousel
-Snow White's Scary Adventures
-Pinocchio's Daring Journey
-Sleeping Beauty's Castle Walkthrough
-It's a Small World Holiday (only November-January)

NOTE: It's a Small World (non-holiday version), Casey Jr. Circus Train and Storybookland Canal Boats are NOT open for MM and open at official park opening. Pixie Hollow and Princess Fantasy Faire are also not open during MM, but they open later than most other attractions, often an hour after official park opening.

In Tomorrowland:
-Space Mountain
-Buzz Lightyear Astroblasters
-Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage
-Astro Orbitor*
-Star Tours*

*Not as consistently open as others. They might be open if large crowds warrant it.
