Magic Morning on a Friday?

I was just checking the Disney website for the dates we'll be there and noticed that there's a Magic Morning listed on Friday, July 9. Is this a misprint or do they offer Magic Mornings on Fridays in the summer? I thought it was just T and S days. ???

Maybe there's a close by grad night? I know we have an extra MM on our trip on Wednesday, July 16th, I think because it is grad night and they close early

We were tickled pink to see an extra MM - maybe you've gotten lucky too!

Often when there is a special event MMs will be moved. The calendar shows MM on Fri Jul 9 but not Sat July 10. I do not know of anything special happening July 10 but as the calendar reads now it looks like they moved the July 10 MM to July 9.

Thanks for the feedback. Hmm, good to know that it happens on occasion. Not sure why, since the parks are open regular hours those days and there doesn't seem to be anything going on. I guess this way we can choose to use our one MM on either Thursday or Friday, and we head home Saturday anyway so that doesn't matter to us.

In your experience have they ever moved a MM to a Friday if the Thursday before that was a grad night? I was hoping this was the case for us since June 17th is a grad night, but it looks like Friday it's just reg. hours.

No. The only reason to move a MM is if the grad night was the night before because DL is open to 6AM in that case. If the grad night will be the following night there is no conflict. And no need to move it.

It appears this June that the normal Thur June 17 MM was moved to Wed June 16 because of the grad night on June 16 night (early June 17 morning). Also, on Fridays in June (the mornings after grad nights) DL will open at 9AM rather than the normal 8AM to give an extra one hour for DL to get ready for Friday guests after the Thursday night grad nights.

I see, thanks for the clarification! I knew I was probably confusing myself more! So Friday, June 18th the park will open an hour later @ 9am, but will still close @ 12am (as DL normally does). Also, it won't be a MM according to the calendar, but I guess I should be glad I won't have to wake up as early!

I'll be there on the 18th as well and will be happy to sleep in a bit. Also, we need to visit the Princess Fantasy Faire which will open at 9am. (We have this crazy idea to visit EVERY attraction this year while we have APs.) Planning to hoof it right over there as soon as the gates open and jump in line. Ok, maybe one of us will stop at Space Mountain to grab FPs while the other gets in line. Fingers crossed that we will miss the usual 60 minute wait!
