Magic Morning on 7/17/15??

My family inadvertently planned our extended family trip to DLR July 13-17. At first we thought it was cool that we will happen to be there on the 60th but now we're starting to panic. We were expecting high crowds in July but with a family of teachers we can only go in the summer. Now we're wondering if we will even be able to use our 5th day ticket on Friday.

We are staying at Disneyland Hotel and we're wondering if we will be able to use our extra magic hour or if the day will be lost do to festivities and crowd volume?

Any advice?

Based on the 50th and DCA 2.0, people will have lined up the night before. For the 50th they lined up in DCA. For the DCA opening the esplanade was long since full and the lines were on Harbor. I don't think they're going to try to get people to the DCA gates to hold an EMH that day. But it likely wouldn't be added to the schedule until 4 weeks out, and even then, subject to change.

I would still go unless you can move it up a day. I would just know it will be high high crowds and be ready for that day to be most low priority rides or shows. Also it might be fun to be there that day. You will get to see a lot of cool things going on.
