we are planning on going to this party in Nov
Any tips to get the most out of the party
it will be our only visit to magic Kingdom this trip
BTW its only me and DH

We love the MVMCP! I'd say concentrate on the shows, parade and atmosphere rather than the rides but as it's your only trip to MK in your holiday, instead I'd say be selective and leave any kiddie rides until later when younger children will have conked out and left. You can use the MVMCP ticket from 4pm so enter early and try to get as many rides done before the party starts at 7. Do the second showing of the parade and the first of the stage show. Have a late lunch before the party so you don't need to eat a meal while you're at the party. Also, for the parade, we waited in Frontierland which was much quieter but if you're taking photos beware of the glare from the lights on the stores behind - they don't turn these off during the parade.
Finally, stay until midnight if poss - there's nothing like walking down a quiet Main Street with the dream castle lights lit up on the castle - magical!
Hope that helps and have a wonderful time :)

we also watched the second parade and also in frontierland....

a CM suggested that to us and we were very happy we'd waited for the 2nd parade (the first one was a mob scene)...

Another vote to watch the second show and to watch from FL.

I can't vouch for all the kids leaving early as ours that were 2 and 3 yrs old at the time were still going strong at midnight!! Also when a family has to pay that much for an 4/5/6 tickets they want to get the most out of it plus it's often a one off so you don't want to leave early and miss out on all the shows etc.

I'd also say, wear layers. We went in November a few years ago and as it was sometimes getting a little chilly at night I dressed all of us up in trousers, sweatshirts etc and it was still boiling at midnight!! People still in vest tops and shorts.

As it is your only trip to MK, I'd say to get there as early as possible. We arrived at 5.30pm and it was heaving. I've never been to the MK when it was full to capacity - quite an experience, but a great one.

You'll have a wonderful time, it's so magical.

Jane.

Thanks everyone for the great tips

Thanks for posting- this year will be our first time at MVMCP- we go on 18th Dec, that's the last party so I expect it will be heaving so all good crowd busting tips gratefully accepted

:yay:

Make sure you are there to see the castle lighting - magical!
