We will be starting the day at Magic Kingdom twice during our stay.

First Day FastPasses - Big Thunder, Splash, Space
Second Day FastPasses - Seven Dwarfs, Enchanted Tales, Peter Pan

Our last trip ('16) we had these same FastPasses and rope dropped Pirates>Jungle Cruise one day and Haunted Mansion the other. While I had planned to do the same this trip, my wife mentioned the other day how she wished we could save these three attractions until later in the day as they are three of her favorites in all of Disney World. I explained that it would probably be the best use of rope drop, and that we could always try to hit them up again later in the day. She understands and agrees. That said, if we did decide to start elsewhere what would be a good strategy which does not include the nine attractions listed above (hard, I know)?

Me, my wife, 7-year-old son, 5-year-old daughter, 3-year-old son, Grandmom & Grandpop. We don't plan on doing many (any?) character meets, but I was thinking Meet Mickey & Minnie at Town Square>Buzz Lightyear might be an ok plan...? Again, I hope I can convince my wife that Pirates, Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion are the best use of our time, but if not...

PoC, JC, and HM are all easy day-of FPs. If your wife loves them so much perhaps rope drop and then ride later in the day as well.

Personally I RD Peter Pan because to me its not worth a FP plus the queue is neat and with a FP you miss that part. Then I do IASW, hit up the Rapunzel bathroom, do HM, then back for Philharmgic.

Everyone has a very different strategy though so if what you did last time worked well then I'd do it again this time.

Also you can easily get FP later in the day for the ones you mentioned RDing so you could do them twice each day.

We started with Astro Orbiter and Tomorrowland Speedway one time. Both of these rides' lines back up and stay backed up most of the day.

We start in tomorrow land. Astro, stitch, buzz, speedway. Astro and stitch (meet) don't have FP so those lines get long. Buzz and speedway are 2 of my kids favorites and I hate those lines.

Are you not interested in doing anything more than once? I always rope drop the rides that get the longest lines, regardless of whether I have a FP for them later in the day or not, but I like doing rides multiple times.

I was also going to ask this. We have also rope dropped dwarves or space, even if we have a FP for later. My kids like to do their favorites more than once, so starting with a ride that is hard to get a 4th fp for can be good even if you have a FP for later.

We are interested in doing things more than once, but we are more interested in doing as many attractions as possible before hitting things up for a second time.

I would do Haunted Mansion then Jungle cruise, then pirates.
Jungle cruise tends to have a long slow line. But you should be able to do another ride before the line really starts to build.

You might want to really keep an eye on HM though. I just got back from a 12 day trip to WDW and HM waits were 75 min+ and it was almost impossible to get day of FP for that ride.
