Magic Kingdom from Cypress Pointe?

Does anyone have directions from Cypress Pointe to the Disney Parks? We want to avoid the highway but I was told our GPS would take us on the major highway and not a short cut.

I think that the easiest way is to go from the resort out to the main road, turn left, continue about a half mile to the traffic light at Hotel Plaza Boulevard (the big Disney property sign is at the beginning of HPB), turn right onto Hotel Plaza Boulevard, go past Downtown Disney on Buena Vista Drive and just follow the signs to the theme parks.
