Magic Kingdom FP+ Kiosk Lines

I've heard these lines can get long. Is this still the cas?. I plan to be there the second week of December (moderate crowd.)

I'm trying to decide if I want to book my 3 FP+ in late morning/early afternoon so I can get more or just book my 3 later and not get more.

I don't want to stand in the kiosk line for 20 mins to save 20 mins in a ride line.

When I went in May I never waited longer than a few minutes if that.

I don't think they are long. As 401Disney said, just a few minutes.

Thanks, that's great news. One person that told me the lines were long went last year. I'll have to check with the other. Maybe it has gotten better over time.

It completely depends on where you can find one and who you are behind. You could be behind 3 people and wait 5 min or you could be behind one group and wait 20. It's all part of the experience.

It's totally hit or miss. The way I approach it is I don't expect to get extra FP at all. If I happen to walk buy a kiosk and there's little to no line, I'll stop and see if anything is available. But if there's a line I'm not going to wait.

it seemed to me that there were more FP+ machines in the area by Philharmagic than there were last time we visited - we walked up or had a very short wait there and by Jungle cruise. The kiosks that are in the breezeway between Adventureland and Frontierland were more hit/ miss - that's a busier area with less machines.

On recent visit I saw s a lines 3-4 people and lines of 18-25 folks, So you could wait 4 minotes or 45 minutes

We didn't wait more than a few minutes for the most part when we were there in June. I will say it can be very hit or miss though. One time we were in line at MK and there was only one person in front of us however that person had NO CLUE what they were doing. I was actually surprised they even knew to go to a kiosk....though I'm not sure they really knew what the kiosk was for when they started using it. The CM helped the woman and showed her availability. The woman pounced on the first attraction that came up, but the CM wanted her to look at *everything* before she made a decision. That whole process probably took about 5 minutes (which of course feels like 30 minutes when you're next in line). I agree that the machines by Philharmagic and Jungle Cruise didn't seem to have long lines. We experienced the longest lines at the machines by Stitch. But I'm sure that varies by day and time.

I liked how they handled the lines for the kiosks at the location we went to in DHS, it was one line of people waiting and then the CM would direct you to the next available kiosk. That seems like the most "fair" way to do it. At Epcot and AK we actually just walked up to CM's with iPads who helped us immediately.

Just took a few minutes in June for us. And we used them many times.
