Magic Kingdom Fireworks

My niece is staying in BLT for a few nights at the end of August. She wants to see the Magic Kingdom fireworks of course. Is it safe for her to take the kids (4 and 7) back to the hotel for a swim/nap and then return to the park for fireworks? Any chance it reaches capacity and they can't get back in?

The MK reaching capacity, especially to onsite guests, is pretty rare. It can happen around big holidays, certianly in the Christmas to New Years window, but even then it's not typical. I really can't imagine it would happen in late August. She should definitely make sure to get back a good bit before the fireworks to get a good spot though, as people will start staking their place anywhere between 90 minutes to an hour beforehand.

No chance it's going to hit capacity, but she definitely needs to look at the Halloween party dates for her week. She needs to time it for a day that there's no party or there won't be regular evening fireworks at MK.

Got to agree with the PP that it's highly unlikely that you wouldn't be able to get back into the park for fireworks.

We will know more once the new nighttime parade starts and how that affects crowds, especially on non-party nights starting in August. I agree that it's highly unlikely but crowds have already been very high in the evenings of non-party nights so adding the parade adds a complexity we haven't seen yet. I would monitor here once July 20th starts and then again when MNSSHP starts to see if the park is filling to capacity. Highly unlikely but it I believe it could happen.

We visited MK on a non-party night last Aug and the crowds were horrendous!! 'it's a small world' was lined back to the Rapunzel bathrooms, 'People Mover' line snaked back towards Space Mountain! After shuffling around for more than 45 mins without riding anything we left.
