Where are the best places to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks outside of the park? We tried to watch them from inside last year, and it was the worst experience of our entire trip. I realize that some of the show will be compromised from outside, but it's worth it to not have to deal with the crowds.

We will have a 4-year-old with us, so California Grill is probably not the best option, but we are considering dinner at 'Ohana, so maybe the Poly beach afterward? Do we have to be staying there to use the beach now?

TIA for any suggestions!

Top of the World at Bay Lake is nice, though you would have to be either a DVC member or staying on points otherwise. The Contemporary also has an observation deck on the main level where you can watch them as well.

Having said that, we've also watched them from the Poly beach and enjoyed it there immensely.

We watched them from the Poly a few months ago after dinner and it was fun. Just head out the the beach area and you can watch the electrical water pageant and fireworks both. There’s music piped in, but it is kinda noisy still with people talking and kids running around. Still recommend it though! We also loved watching them from California Grill. We had a window table so watched from there with music piped in, but there’s an outside area also which I think may have been even better than from the table. There were kids in the restaurant so I wouldn’t let that stop you from dining there to watch the fireworks.

We watched Wishes from the dock at the Contemporary and thought it was a pretty nice view.

The most direct head on view is from the ferry dock at the TTC. Ambience isn't as good as the Poly beach, but the view is amazing and it's so laid back and uncrowded.

The Poly beach is one of our favorite places to watch fireworks (we’ve never watched them inside MK). We also really like the patio area outside the Gasparilla Island Grill at the GF. We’ve also watched a few times from the boat launch area at the GF and really like that view too. We prefer any of those to the viewing area at the CR (the ambience, I guess). We’ve never been to the TTC to watch the fireworks, although a few times we’ve caught some of the show from the monorail, which is kind of a fun experience.
