Me, DH & DS (14yrs) attended the dessert party this past Saturday. I'm giving it (2)
thumbs up. This event is held at the Tomorowland Terrace Noodle Station in the Magic Kingdom Park. The price is $17.99 for guest ages 10 and over. $9.99 for guests ages 3-9.
We were told to arrive at 9:00 p.m. We arrived around 8:30 and were the 2nd family in line. Since we were toward the front of the line, this allowed us first look and pictures of the buffet. They constantly replenish the desserts, but it is not as pretty as when you first see it.
You are escorted to your reserved table. There was a place card with our name on it and golden castle confetti on the table.
Disney has the most wonderful bakers. Everything was really good. There was a wide variety of drinks. Coffee, hot teas, iced tea, lemonade, juice, water.
When the fireworks started, there was plenty of room at the railing. Everyone had a great view. Tinkerbell flies right overhead. Afterward there is no rush to leave. We sat for a few minutes and let the crowd go by. Also there is a photopass photographer set up near the railing to take pictures with the castle as a backdrop.
To me it was worth it as a special treat. If you wanted to be budget wise, skip an expensive table service meal, have counter service, and splurge on this. I think this would be especially nice if you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary.
