I haven't been to disney world in ages not since I was a kid and I've linked my tickets to mde and I'm having the worst time trying to decide on fast passes lol. It's me my DH my DDs 8 and 4. I know I want enchanted tales with bell but the other 2 I can't decide. Splash mountian space mountian and peter pans flight and Ariel's gratto I have no idea lol

Do they like thrill rides or would they be more content with family rides? 4 and 8 could go either way.

Yes, a little more info about what type of rides they like. If you hit rd, you will be able to get a lot done also ;)

I think it depends what you think your family would like best. If they really love meeting characters you could pick one of those, or if they like the rides, pick whichever ones you think you definitely want to ride. I was just there last week, and everyone told me not to worry about It's a Small World or Winnie the Pooh, that you never need FP+ for those. Well, it happened to be a couple of really busy days at MK, and the wait time was 70 minutes for each. So my new thoughts on FP+ is choose what you really want to do and don't want to miss, then everything else you can choose if you want to stand in line or not. And you always have the option to change your FP+ while at WDW or in the actual park. I did notice though that you don't get much choice if you are already in the park and the offsite guests have picked theirs through the kiosks.

My nephews are 6&4 and they loved Peter Pans flight, Dumbo, Monsters Inc Laugh Floor, meeting Mickey at Towne Square, etc. :)

They like both thrill rides and id say characters too. They have never been so I'm not quit sure. We do have a breakfast at akrusus one day so they will get to see the princesses. I just really have no idea. My husband has never been I haven't been since I was 9 or 10. what lines tend to be the longest in magic kingdom? And is it better to get the fast passes back to back or spread them out some?

Go to the website easywdw.com there are maps on there based on business of the park it's been a huge help to me. Also read ride descriptions and watch rides on you tube. As has already been said pick what you know you will enjoy the most!!

I'm going for the least backtracking as possible so if they are in the same area I get them together and will fill in time with what's in between. If they are across the park I'm spacing it way out to allow us to see stuff on the way.

My kids are the same ages as yours. They are not big "thrill seekers" so I tried to keep that in mind. I FP'ed the Town Square Mickey M&G, a ride on POTC, and then for H and DD (8) Splash Mountain b/c she mentioned wanting to ride it. At the same time I got a FP for myself and DS (4) on Aladdin's carpets because it was close by. I spaced them out - did the M&G late morning (we plan on getting there at RD during EMH so hoping to get a few rides knocked out) then the rest in the evening. I am positive that my 4yo is going to need to take an afternoon break for a nap and swimming, etc. I'm pretty sure that they will be more into the shows and meeting the characters than the headliners, so I tried to take that into account as well. Overall I think it just depends on what kinds of attractions you think your family will enjoy.

I think FP allows you to do both. Because each window is an hour, you can really do it how you like. i.e. Space Mountain FP from 8-9pm and Big Thunder Mt. Rail from 9-10pm. You can do Space at 8pm and you'll have plenty of time (at least an hour and a half) to do whatever until 10pm for Thunder.

Or you can do what I did one day which is Under the Sea from 8pm-9pm and Ariels Grotto from 9-10pm. Now I can go on Under the Sea at 9pm and once it's done go right up for Ariel as soon as I'm off the ride.

Can't go wrong!

I would definitely space them out. That way, if you go to a ride that you have fp for, but the line isn't too bad, you can skip using the fp and rebook it right on your phone for something else later. If all three are back to back, it might make doing that a little harder.

We went in Feb and ended up rescheduling 2 fp because the lines that we thought were going to be long ended up being around 15 minutes.

As far as your other question, for some reason the line for Peter Pan's Flight always seems to be crazy long, but the ride is kind of boring (please nobody jump down my throat). I would include Splash Mountain in your fp plans!

If you'll already see the Princesses, you probably wouldn't want to use a FP+ on them at MK. We also did the Princess meal at Akershus, and I didn't want to use a FP+ on Cinderella like I originally thought I might, so I did to meet Mickey at Towne Square. This is a really cool option because Mickey talks! He talks to you in the normal Mickey voice, and it's really a neat thing for kids. He talked to my Nephews about riding in the Tea Cups and spinning around, then he had the kids spin around with him. I thought this was really cool. Just a caution, he does have technical difficulties sometimes. I had heard this before we went, and then when we were there we experienced it. They only take 3 groups in the room at the same time, and after a family was finished and there was one ahead of us, the CM's said "I just got a call from Goofy and he needs this room." So they took us all out to another room (I am sure to reset Mickey's talking) then said "Oh, Goofy doesn't need it after all" and took us back in. But when he does work and talks, it's really neat! :)

If you think you might want to do Splash Mountain or Peter Pans flight, those are probably good ones to use with FP+. Those tend to always be long lines.

When you do FP+ the system seems to know how to space it out for you, so you can do them back to back and have enough time, or space them out. Either way I think works. In Hollywood Studios we wanted Disney Jr Live and Voyage of the Little Mermaid, and come to find out they are right next to each other, and FP+ put the times back to back. So that worked well.

Ok i think I've got an idea for magic kingdom but the times I have no idea still. How does these for my other park days sound. For epcot we have breakfast at 8:30 at akrsus. Then 9:45 test track. (Should I get earlier time?) 10:55-11:55 turtle talk with crush and 11:55-12:55 nemo. Does that sound ok or should I space them out more? And for HS I have 10:15 toy story. 11:50 star torus and 1:30 TOT. Does that sound ok? Do I need to space them out more? I also have a ADR at 5:30 for 50s prime time for HS

You should look at easywdw.com for his cheat sheets, including how crowds are during the time you will be there and average wait times throughout the day. For my upcoming trip, I am focusing on arriving at rope drop so I can get rides done before the crowds grow. I am going to try to schedule fp+ for midday when lines are longer (although I will take whatever I can get on tsmm and Anna/Elsa m and g). I would not hesitate to schedule back to back if both rides I wanted were in the same area (like Peter Pan and Winnie the Pooh). At easywdw.com he has a prioritized fp+ list, so does Mesa boy here on dis which may also help you decide what to fp at Mk. There are so many rides I know it is a lot to consider!

I checked out easy wdw my crowd calender has the crowd at a 4. I'll be going down on 24 days lol. The 27th for epcot the 28th for HS and the 29th for magic kingdom. The afternoon early afternoon FP sounds good. I want to make rope drop and for epcot well be there early for your breakfast. And my parks I choose are the most recommended parks for that day. I might just be over thinking it lol

I think those sound good. I wouldn't get an earlier time for Test Track because Akershus is going to take you at least an hour if not a little more, plus you have travel time to Test Track, which isn't real close to Norway. We had a 8:10 Akershus and at 9:00 still hadn't met Snow White (but left to go see Anna/Elsa). Test Track is on the other side of the park. If your window is 9:45-10:45 you should be good I would think. Turtle Talk and Nemo are right next to each other, so you won't have a problem making those.

I think HS sounds good. That leaves plenty of time.

I wondered if we'd have enough time with ours, and I found out if you get to a ride at the beginning of a FP+ time frame, you are almost hanging around waiting for the next FP+ time frame to start if you don't want to leave the area. So I think your choices are fine. :)

O goodness the more I keep reading the worse I keep stressing lol. I've read it's better to do fast passes in the afternoon and ride what you can get in at rope drop first. Like what time late afternoon? I was just thinking get the fast pass rides out of the way and then just go with the flow. Which would I be able to get more done in without running my family to death?

FastPasses makes the most sense to use when standby lines are typically longest--this way they save you the most time. Standby lines are typically longest in the afternoon. If the difference in standby wait times between morning and afternoon is not an issue for you (it can be for many), then you can use FP whenever you like and it will at least help you some.

Ok so as of right now I got Peter Pan at 1:25 splash at 2:50 and BTMR at 3:55. I was thinking spend the first part of the morning in fantasy lfirst off for my little girl DD 4 and maybe ride haunted mansion idk yet. Then ride Peter Pan with the fast pass head over to where splash and BTMR are the after those Make our way over to space mountian and just wait the line out for that one. That a decent plan?

:goodvibes I stressed a lot beforehand, too, but it all works out. Afternoons are definitely more crowded, so I'd use FP+ then. If you are a morning person and can get to the parks at or near rope drop you should be able to do some things then and then use your FP+ for the afternoon and feel like you've acomplished a lot in the park. :) We learned the best plan is to look at the park map, make a plan, and don't try to zig zag back and forth in the park. Go to one area, do what you want to do there, then move to another area. This will cut down the walking and if you have a little down time just sit and enjoy the park around you. :)
