Magic kingdom enchanted adventures parade

Recently bought the Magic Kingdom event party CD! Love it! I'm not familiar with one part of it that is from the enchanted adventures parade. It says it was held during the Pirates and princess party. I was pretty young when this was appearing can someone explain what these princess and pirate parties were?

Mickey's Pirate and Princess Parties were from only a very few years back (2007-2009.)

They were evening "Hard Ticket" parties at MK (like MNSSHP and MVMCP.)

They were not associated with any specific holiday.

They were not well-attended enough to merit continuing them, and they required MK to close
to regular guests too early in the evening for too many evenings to justify.

What did you do during them? Were they separate ticket parties like MNSSHP?

They were like the Halloween and Christmas parties. They had spectacular fireworks- having been to all the parties the ones at Pirate ad Princess were my favorite. They gave out beads and candies (like trick or treating at MNSSHP). They had a dance parties, special characters were out, and a special parade.

Loved the fireworks from the P&P Party. The parade was only Ok for me, the princess half was boring but the pirates half was awesome.

We took DS for his 4th birthday in 2008 and the P&P party is still my favorite thing we have ever done at WDW! Low, low crowds, great fireworks, loved the treasure stations.....it was fantastic! I remember being so shocked the first time we went to MVMCP because I think I expected it to be like the Pirate and Princess party in terms of attendance...um...not so much!

Loved the fireworks from the P&P Party. The parade was only Ok for me, the princess half was boring but the pirates half was awesome.

LOL we loved the princess part and thought nothing of the Pirate part. DD's favorite memory was meeting Pocahontas AND John Smith.

I don't remember the parade very much. It was heavier on the pirates than the princesses, it seems to me. But I remember the party, and we had a wonderful time. They gave out little velvet bags for the treasure, which were chocolate gold coins, and everything was decorated like pirates, and it seems like they had a lot of CM's out dressed up and events. They gave out tons of bead necklaces, and the lines were basically non-existent for the rides. I could never figure out the bad reviews, it was the best party we attended at WDW (IMO). But it seems like these days the parties are basically a paid event for character meet and greets, and we don't do that at all. We're there for short ride lines and parades and fireworks.
