Planning on having a dinner on our MK day and prefer not to leave the park. Want to try something new- have done BOG, Skipper Canteen, Crystal Palace and Tony's. Out of the remaining MK restaurants, which have you done for dinner, loved and would make the best choice for 2 adults? Would travel on the monorail to get to a one-credit meal, but would prefer to stay in the park for the first night.

Thanks in advance! :flower:

Liberty Tree takes reservations, and, including your list, I believe that's all the 'sit-down' restaurants.

Plaza does not take reservations for dinner.

Columbia House is qwik-service.

For something different, and this requires a sense of humor:

1.) Purchase a candelabra from Village Gift Shop (nears Belle's Cottage),
2.) Secure a spot near live piano player outside Casey's Corner on Main Street,
3.) Grab a foot-long hotdog inside Casey's and dine with the candelabra while enjoying the music.
4.) For dessert, one of you can get The Kitchen Sink ice cream sundae at The Plaza (just across the street) that is served in Mickey's Pants.

Because nothing says, "New, different, romantic, & Disney," like eating ice cream out of Mickey's pants and in front of faux-candlelight.

Personally, I'd wear a top-hat and my wife a flowing gown.....Ears work too.

Plaza takes reservations for dinner, and has for awhile. We eat there fairly often for dinner and always have a reservation - they typically turn away walk-ups.

That would be my choice, personally. We like the menu, the prices are nearly counter service prices, and the atmosphere is nice.

Oh, good! I'm glad the Plaza takes reservations!

Thank you all for your responses- I'm glad to know that either Plaza or LTT will be good choices. Wasn't so impressed with Skipper Canteen, Tony's or (don't hate me) BOG, so I wasn't sure what the popular opinion would be on the other MK restaurants.

Thanks!

I love the Plaza and LTT. If you want to take the monorail for a different experience, we also think that the Wave in the Contemporary is a hidden gem, along with GF's Cape May Cafe. Enjoy!

Cape May Cafe is at the Beach Club
Grand Floridian Cafe is at the GF

but both are considered hidden gems!

Have always wanted to try the Wave- have you done breakfast or dinner there or both, and which is better?

Another vote for LTT. The food is delicious and the ooey gooey toffee cake is to die for.

I should add that if you're willing to leave the park but want something easy, take the boat to Trail's End.

Ooh, I haven't thought of that one! Thanks!

We are big fans of The Plaza. It certainly isn't anything fancy, but solid sandwich and comfort food options at prices not much more than a quick service.
