Is there any pricing available for the just announced return of the dessert parties at the Magic Kingdom? I did not see any.

Admission is $114 per adult (ages 10 and up) and $69 per child (ages 3 to 9), tax included

That is the price for the party during the fireworks. If you have the party before or after the fireworks, it is $99 per adult....I don't remember child price

I have to say, pretty brilliant on DIsney's part. Three parties to cash in on and still only using on restaurant.

Good heavens. I remember going to this several times when it was in the $25-30 range. No way I’d pay that price, but I’m sure there will be plenty of takers.

I did it once, at $30, and it was already a stretch for me value wise. Also, the viewing location from tomorrow land terrace is not ideal, being off center, I wouldn't pay even more for it.
Now, if they start offering zebra domes, I might rethink it.:rotfl2:

Let’s just say that I probably ate $30 worth of chocolate covered strawberries. 😉

We’ve probably seen the MK fireworks 100 times and I’ve always assumed the people in the grassy areas behind fencing in front of the castle are there for a dessert party or some other paid event. For whom is that area reserved?

There are two versions of the MK party, one the Plaza Garden party where guests watch from one of those fenced off areas you describe, and the other the Terrace party, where guests watch from under the overhang on the terrace. Both groups actually eat their desserts on the terrace before the fireworks. There’s also a third version, where guests watch the fireworks from the grassy area and then eat their desserts on the terrace after the show. So you’re right, those areas are reserved for the party guests.

It's the same 3 parties they had pre-covid...higher prices but they didn't change anything logistics wise. We've done both the seated party and the pre-fireworks party. While the projections are harder to see during the seated party we far, far preferred it to the other one.

For the one where you eat before the fireworks they walk you to a grassy area for viewing. Only problem was that they allowed those on scooters to be in front. Which shouldn't be a problem except for when they were standing on top of their scooters.....The other downside of the pre-fireworks one is that seating was so close together that we literally could not get up from our table to get back to the dessert buffet. We ended up just asking to be taken to the viewing area. Disney gave us our money back. It was an awful experience.
