We have our main things booked so we are just starting to look at dining reservations.

We plan to be at the Magic Kingdom on January 29th 2010. I mentioned to some fireinds that I had a possible interest in breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table inside the castle.

They all said I would only get a reservation if we had multiple people call on different phone lines the first day at the first possible time and take what was available. This time has passed.

We just called and they gave us multiple open time slots. We picked a time and booked it.

I’m hoping this is an indication that January 29th will not be very busy at the park.

We are going January 23rd through Feb 6th and I haven't had any trouble getting any of the ADRs I wanted (including CRT). I'm not sure it means the parks won't be crowded - I think it just means there isn't a lot of free dining at that time

You know... I just went online and snagged a reservation at CRT for my trip after the 180 day mark when I had "no hope" that there would be any available!

We must be getting extra pixie dust!

January is a great time to go. It's a little chilly (for us who live down here ;) ). But the ease of everything is so much greater than December when everything is jammed with warm bodies. (Not that I am complaining.)
The downside to January, or slower times in general, is not everything is up and running, and the park hours are shorter.
But anyone could probably do more in 4 hours than what it would take all day + during the holiday season.

I was able to reserve online for our March 3 date an 8 am reservation at CRT. Can someone tell me, do the charge your credit card when you make the reservation or do they just put a hold on it?

Cindy's is a pre-pay. You will be charged the full amount, check the cancel policy. It's either 48 or 24 hours (I forget which) to cancel and get a full refund.

It's funny, we had the exact same experience! I was frightened half to death after hearing the war-stories about how people battled to get CRT ressies... we called the day AFTER the big change, and got a choice of times, no problem. Then I checked 3 days later online, and multiple options still came up for CRT.

We've got an 8:05 am ADR for Feb 9th. My daughter's first (and possibly only) time at CRT!

I recently booked CRT for Valentine's day breakfast for my 2 kids & myself - I had heard stories about how tough it was to book and didn't think I'd have a shot at this of all days.

My thinking was it would be a great way for my 12yo boy to have his first flirtatious encounter on valentine's day (albeit with a character) :rotfl: Now I'm thinking that might just be a mean thing to put him through as he gets embarrassed easilly.

Even if you're on a Dining Plan??? I made my CRT ADR on the 10th and I don't think I got charged...
