Wow! I'd posted earlier about the Magic Kingdom boardgame that amazon.com had...bought it for my DS (oh, and Dh and me as well!). After the gift was opened, I took a good look at the whole thing and it is SO MUCH BETTER than I'd even hoped! It's a must-have for any WDW fan...the goal of the game is to be the first family to see each MK attraction held in your hand of cards (with photos and descriptions on each card). There're fun things like stopping to get an autograph from either Mickey or Donald (both very nice heavy, metal figures) and what I REALLY love is that you get 3D figures of some of the MK attractions: Main Street railroad station, Sleeping Beauty's Castle, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mickey's Toontown House and Space Mountain. A big thumbs up!!!

Merry Christmas, fellow Dis'ers!!!

I saw that and almost bought it for my DGD, but ended up with the Disney Monopoly instead. We've already played a couple games on it today.

Santa brought it here. I dont know if I like the "change of plan" card. I told my kids I cant play that game. ;)

We just posted a new thread on the Disney Families board about this game. A total winner and really gets us in the spirit!

We saw this at DTD. Don't buy it there. It costs $40 at DTD and much less at Toys R Us.

Thanx for the review. I think I'll have to pick one up for myself!

I got it at toysrus.com through amazon.com for $19.99...well worth it!!!

DD got it too!! We love it!!

Santa brought it here, too. It is fun to play, though there are a couple of little, nitpicky things that are wrong with the Magic Kingdom.

Yeah, like the attraction card that says "ride the monorail" but it's number is actually the TTA! Why not just say "ride the TTA." It is lots of fun - my daughter and I have been enjoying it.

I bought the game for my DS (yeah right). Now I'm begging him to play games with me. "Please play Magic Kingdom with mommy" LOL. I like to pull the game out when I miss Disney World, it's almost like being there. I was also surprised at how entertaining the game is for all ages. We bought ours at Toys R Us for $20.00. Lynda

That's one, though I think there may actually be a separate TTA card. Also, it lists Tarzan's Tree House and Autopia which are at Disneyland, not in the MK. There are a couple of little things like that...nothing that really detracts from play.

I think is supposed to be a combination of both parks--the castle is DL's Sleeping Beauty Castle.

We got one for Christmas and haven't opened the box yet, but from looking at the box -

the tree house and autopia are disneyland
the castle is disneyland
the train station is wdw
the haunted mansion is wdw

Maybe they thought that no one would notice, and they could have one version this way that would fit for people on both coasts.

My daughter suggested today that since there was just the two of us playing that we just split the "attractions" cards between us and play it that way - each of us doing 15 attractions. It is way more fun that way, a bit more strategy involved, and it makes the game last longer!

That sounds like a fun game! Haven't seen that one around yet. Santa did bring Haunted Mansion Clue to our house and we've been having fun with that!

We got this game for our DD's for an intro to their Christmas surprise--a trip to the real Magic Kingdom! We love the game. One other point that must be DL (I've never been there)--the monorail card says trip between the MK and DTD?!?
We also got the Disney "Scene It!" game. This is a lot of fun, too. It has a lot of clips of some of the older, more obscure Disney flicks. Much more challenging than I had first anticipated!
