Magic Kingdom and Dessert Party Photography

We are just brainstorming specifics for an upcoming "Disney" wedding sometime in late 2016. I believe we will do a dessert party at Epcot for a welcome reception after a smaller rehearsal dinner, and then the wedding/reception at the four seasons. The thing is, I am a photographer myself and I have always been obsessed with the idea of having photos taken in my dress inside the parks.

1: Will Disney allow us to bring our wedding photographers in with us during the dessert party so we can do fireworks photos? I won't be wearing my dress at this point, as this is just a welcome reception. (On an unrelated note, which dessert party location has the largest capacity?)

2: Is there any way to have a photoshoot at the Magic Kingdom in my dress? I think this is only for Disney brides, correct? If not, will I have any issues taking photos at the MK resorts in my dress? (I can imagine there may be an issue wearing a dress at Grand Floridian if there is a wedding at the pavilion that day)

I certainly wouldn't want to break any rules or step on another bride's toes while I am also in a dress. I do wedding photography for a living, so this is a pretty important element for DF and my wedding day.

Thank you!!!

2. They recently changed the rule for MK portraits. You do not have to be a DFTW bride to get the session

The MK park shoots happen way before even the earliest weddings at the WP (the start time depends on what time the park opens that day, but a 4-6am pickup time is not at all uncommon). I have heard of the occasional bride being hustled around to maintain the illusion of one wedding/day, but those are few and far between, and as the PP said you can have a MK shoot now! Keep in mind that shoots happening depend on whether MK park management gives the green light, and some seasons (December comes to mind) is historically less of a sure thing that they won't black out an entire week or so for pre-park shoots.

As long as you aren't in your gown, like you stated, you should have no issue with your Illuminations DP, and as of right now you can bring photographers in so long as you pay for a "media guide", ie a CM to chaperone your non-Disney photographer (at least on paper - really they're there for the whole group!) I'm about 99% sure the largest area is Italy Isola, which according to the DFTW website holds up to 150 people.

Thank you both! Can either of you point me in the right direction of getting in touch about booking the MK shoot and/or dessert party? I think we will have at least 75-100 people for the DP, so Italy Isola sounds perfect. I suppose I will brainstorm (autocorrect just tried to make me write barnstormer, hah!) alternatives if it is not available.

Thank you sooo much for the help. I have been a lurker here for so long and can't wait to get posting more often.
