Need some help. Wondering if we do Magic Kingdom for a full day versus Magic Kingdom after hours from 10 to 1 ( actually they allow 7 p.m. entrance). Basically 6 hours vs 12 hours. Mainly looking to do all thrill rides. Basically the same cost oh, and booking agent kind of recommended the after-hours. Please help

For me, I can't use the argument that the cost is the same. I'm a FL resident and the most I pay right now for getting into any park is about $62. The after hours is twice that. Now...would I do it...absolutely if I wanted a little more time in the MK because there's something my son or I absolutely want to do. Having to justify that cost to my husband is a hard sell, but I could do it in the end. We won't be doing it on this trip because we already have our two days in the MK. When we return in 3 or 4 years and we trek back into HS again after 18 years of not being there to see SWGE...I would definitely take advantage of the DAH in MK. The hours really don't come into play for me. If you're saying you're spending 12 straight hours in Disney, more power to you! I just don't have that in me to do. We do about 5-6 hours in MK on our first day and maybe about 3 or 4 on our second day....that second visit is usually travel day. So as you see, I get my 12 hours over two days. This year, we'll have a full day to tour MK each visit. I tacked on another day specifically for Disney Springs and the travel home. Plus....I figured my son deserved that extra day since he's going to miss his last field day in elementary school. :worried: He's quite happy to have the extra Disney day instead! :cloud9:

I'd say if the cost is working for you and you're okay with only 6 hours in MK instead of 12 then go for it! For me, the unlimited soda and popcorn would be the seller for me! popcorn:: :drinking1

Honestly, it depends:
Do you enjoy going for the atmosphere more than just the rides? If so, you may want more hours in the park. Same goes if you want any shows, streetmosphere, etc.

If you would prefer a mostly empty park with some rides, then the the after hours would be the way to go. And you get popcorn, drinks and ice cream tossed in.

We are going to have APs for this next trip and if they offer an after hours event for our dates, we will probably do them one night just so we can get on all we want to, so doing both isn't terrible, but I would do the after hours on a non park day if you did that.
