apologies - this had probably been asked before. But if I’m a SoCal resident at Disneyland today (before the Magic Key sale), can I apply my ticket as a credit towards a Magic Key once they go on sale.

No. The SoCal ticket fine print says it is "non upgradable".

They are issuing refunds for fully unused SoCal tickets if you mail Disney ticket barcodes and explain you want a refund to purchase a Magic Key.

Any idea which email I should try this out on? The app chat CMs said I’d be able to upgrade to a Magic Key on 10/1 after the CA pass expires and the value becomes available to apply towards an “equal or higher priced admission”. I might be able to wait to upgrade one family member to a MK until 10/1 but would rather get all of them at the same time.
