Magic Key Activation Question

DH purchased a Magic Key Pass for my birthday and I’m heading to DL mid August. Though I made a park reservation the day I fly in, I don’t arrive until 9 pm and probably won’t get to the parks until 10pm. Since it will be my first time activating the pass, will there be an issue with me scanning/entering the park for the first time so late? Should I just cancel my reservation for that day and start the 1 year clock the next day?

Thank you!

If you’d really like to go on the night that you arrive, I encourage you to do so. The first time I used my MK (i.e “activated” it), I think the only delay was them having to take my pic.

I would be concerned about flight delays. I would maybe not book your park pass until you’re on the plane. As long as it’s not a day that all the passes become unblocked reservations haven’t been selling out over the summer.

Good to know! I keep reading about having ID ready but wasn’t sure if there was a separate line for first time magic key users. Thanks!

Fair point about flight delays. I come in Thursday evening so hopefully a less busy park day. I’m flying from Nor Cal so if there were flight delays during the day it would carry over to the evening. I’m going to watch the reservations periodically and assess if I should cancel a few days before. Thank you!
