Great synopsis - thanks for sharing. I appreciate your positive outlook and helpful suggestions (never thought to try Rafikis Planet Watch in the AM).

I agree with your observations about the majority of CMs and the loss of that 'special guest' feeling. I know the CM jobs are extremely difficult, but there used to be many more smiles, much more attention paid to park/hotel guests, and many more instances of positive interactions (we've been going to WDW for over 20 years and are DVC owners at BCV). I thought the philosophy was to make guests feel like they were in a special world and offer a respite from the daily grind. For the past few years we've felt like we could've been at Great America or any other theme park or maybe the local discount store - lots of conversations amongst employees about their breaks, their boyfriends, their work schedules. I'd be curious to see how the current CMs are trained - something is definitely being left out of the curriculum (Pixie Dust 101 perhaps?).

We're looking forward to a refurbed BCV next year. Let's hope things have improved by then! I'm hoping your post will find its way to the powers-that-be so all of those issues can be resolved.

Blizzard Beach

Not even close to Typhoon Lagoon. Yet, the theming is still fantastic and extremely coooool and I continue to gravitate to the melting snowperson family. They should really add more Olaf to this park. Only makes sense to me. Wish the Ice Gator did meet & greets still too.

It's interesting how everyone has such differing opinions! While I love both water parks, I think BB blows TL away. Thanks for your report.

I miss AKL !!! More than I miss "WDW" per se. Honestly the SMELL of it, I need to find out what that was so I can have it at home ... my heart actually pangs to go back to that resort so very very much ...

No matter what I tell myself before I arrive, I always seem to come back saying I wish I would have done this...I wish I would have done that. I'm happy to at least live in a part of the world where I can at least get back there in just a little over a 2hr flight when the time comes again!

Don't get me wrong, I still LOVE Blizzard Beach and I'm also a lover of snow lol! I'm just a huge fan of the TL wave pool, lazy river and gushers.

Loved your report. I am just back this past Monday from a stay at BWV. Did 1 night at POFQ and really loved it except for the buses. I have to also agree about the CMs. While some were amazing many just seemed unfriendly or unmotivated. I also adore AK and we went twice in the 6 days we were there. I can't get enough of that park so much to look at!! I think next time I'll be heading back to the Poly as it's really starting to look beautiful again. I have 2 years at least before I go back so it will be interesting to see where Disney it at by that time...
