Well, I laugh:rotfl:, cry :sad2:, and do a whole lot of praying for my older two! Every vacation, I've told folks, "Oh, they won't want to come anymore"...and here they are...:rotfl2: at 23, and 24 still coming! And I'm like you are...took a ton of pics (though we didn't have quite the fancy stuff as now 10 years ago), take a ton of pics of everyone when I DO get them together, and enjoy every last second I can with them! Even when dh and I spent our 25th at Disney, the older two said "You're leaving Us?":rotfl:...I know..pitiful! But it still makes this mom happy! And since it'll STILL be awhile before we're 'empty-nesters' we're going to enjoy it as long as we can!!! :woohoo:

Sure sounds like you did good and still doing well.:thumbsup2 Can't wait to meet the gang. :cool1:
This is why we love the DCL cruise. The kids and parents can have some time to themselves and also have a great time as a family. Looking forward to another great cruise.:banana:

After all the discussion of formal night and what people wear, I thought I would show you that there are a few of us husbands who don't mind putting on some finer clothing one night on the cruise.

If I didn't bring along my tux, how would I get this photo with my buddy Goofy?

:thumbsup2 Now that's a great photo! Two handsome guys and a beautiful lady.

This cruise marks a turning point for us in raising the family. We will have our youngest with us, though he is almost 19 and leaving home in December. And we will have our oldest grandchild (oh, and his parents) along for the cruise.

Though we did "blink" and the kids are now grown, the grandkids are doing a great job of filling any void.

We're the same way, mine are DD21, DS 19, DS17. The older two are away at college, just the one left at home (HS Jr). We did our family trip this summer on the Dream and Beach Club. Our daughter turned 21 on CC!! We had a blast, just not sure how many more trips like that we will get. It will be very different not being with them or my DH on this cruise!

Well...here's hoping this cruise is special in it's own way for you!:thumbsup2..Though we've had to take a couple 'weekenders' and a fall & Christmas trip w/o my son or daughter, it does seem like once we 'get into' the trip, it's fine. Nope, not the same, but still ok. Though this mom knows how to pick up a phone!:rotfl: And it just makes it sweeter to bring them 'little happies' and to hug their necks when we 'hit the door'!:goodvibes..We'll take whatever we can get as a family!

Good luck with that heat. We are under flood warning here. It has rained hard here for the last 24 hours:scared1:. Only in the last hour has it stopped.
I agree with the sunsets at Palo. We get the 6pm ressie so we can get a window table. Here is a pic from my last cruise.

Send the rain our way. We could use all the rain you guys can spare. We are the same. 6 p.m. ressies for window table and the most beautiful sunset.:thumbsup2

Actually, that photo was taken in one of the public areas of the ship. From the looks of it, I would say deck 3. You will have plenty of opportunities for great views like that one.

That's right...deck 3 before heading to dinner at Parrot Cay.

 That's right. I'm trying to enjoy every moment I can while DS is still young because I know it, he's going to be getting his driver's license and heading off to college.

All the more reason to take to them to Disney cruises and Disney World and enjoy it all as a family for as much as we can.

Yep, that's one of the ways I justify all the cruise and WDW trips....memories!
However, the next two cruises I have booked are w/o the kids. But someone had to sacrifice and go on this cruise with my sister (KLMchemist), and neither of my other two sisters stepped up to do it! Couldn't let her have to pay full fare for a single in a cabin....

LKShep.......WOW you look great, and your wife is beautiful (as is her dress too). I've never even seen a pic of my hubby in a tux! I'll never see it either. You keep up the good work:banana:

:thumbsup2 You ARE so KIND!! Albeit...I'd so make that sacrifice too!!! You'll just have to 'suffer' through it!:rotfl: Y'all are gonna have a great time!

Thanks for the compliment. I've worn this gown on 2 other cruises. I have a new gown for this cruise, not quite as fancy but fun. Got it for a great deal one day when I was shopping with my daughter. I'm so exited to meet everyone! :woohoo:

Sorry I can't send the rain your way even though I would love to send some your way. It is kinda crazy around here. What day are doing Palo? Our ressies are for Thursday. Also how can you reserve this early for a window table? We get one simply by going at opening of Palo (6pm) and requesting a window table at that time.

Good thing you mentioned us! we are an integral part of that grandchild you are taking on the cruise ;) We are so excited and can't wait to build our own memories of DCL!!! Mexican Riviera Dec 2012?!?:woohoo:

We're doing it Sunday night. And we do the same thing you do. We can't reserve a window table. We get an early reservation and then beg for a window table :goodvibes We've done that 2x and it worked. But I don't think it always works that way. Let's have konk kooler to give us some good luck in getting a window table.
