Hello everyone!! This will be our family's first cruise and we are super excited! I've been stuck in the house for a week with the flu and finally today woke up with no fever... Yay! so I decided to lift my spirits and do some cruising research and came across this site. We are so ready for this vacation! Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. On this trip it will be my hubbie and me and our two girls who are 4 and 7. Thanks!

Do you guys think having a cabana at CC is necessary or are there plenty of chairs and umbrellas to be found? I know they're all sold out anyway, but I was just curious.

Also, I completed the survey for the fish extender, but if its too late I understand!

I think our FE is still open!! As for the cabana, I don't think there are any left to reserve.

I'm waiting for Christmas to finish before starting my gifts. I was going to so something personalized but then realized for most of the kids, I just have gender and ages but not names.

I ran into the same problem as Lillisalou. I only had a few names to personalize. Castlegazer can we get the kids names? Is there a way to edit the form and add them?

I know our FE group is still open. I think she said sometime the first week of January she was closing it. Welcome aboard. With Christmas here so fast I think everyone is preoccupied with that. After Christmas it will be time to concentrate on the cruise.

Oh, I have opened up the spreadsheet to give everyone access to change it because I added a column to add the names of kids if you haven't done so already - this gives you the option to do it if you want to.

There will be no way you will get one, but to answer the second part of the question, there is plenty of room on CC and plenty of umbrellas and chairs.

I really don't think it is worth it at all to get a cabana - and I had the opportunity to do so this cruise. We chose not to because it's such a quick day and we spend every moment in the water, eating, drinking Konk Koolers in a chiar pulled down to the water with our feet sitting in the edge of the waves, or playing at In Da Shade or Pelican Plunge, that it seemed stupid to tie us down to a financial decision to stay in a spot not at any of those places.

It sounded tempting to have a concierge service and a great place to sit at - but the lounge chairs are awesome, plentiful, and truthfully, we just don't sit still all that long!

One way to ensure great spots is to get off the ship right at first opportunity and go all the way to the last tram stop on the Family Beach. From there there are great spots right off the path and right near Cookies - plus you will be that much closer to the slides.

Do you have a tip for where my husband and I should go? I've heard that the family beach is pretty noisy. We aren't bringing our kids.

Oh then definitely go over to Serenity Bay!! - you take the tram to the last stop, again, at the family beach and then follow the signs to the tram for Serenity Bay.

It is extremely tranquil, beautiful, and you get your own dining area also! With somewhat better food!

I had the most amazing massage in the cabanas over on Serenity Bay! Just such a beautiful area!

And the bonus is you really don't have to kill yourself to wake up and get off the ship in a rush - it's always quiet and plenty of space over there.

We need a new updated copy of the FE list...If names and ages could be included that would be great. (we have been unable to access the Google Doc, so would need the spreadsheet emailed to us again, sorry!)
Is there a FB page for this sailing yet? I find it more user friendly...but that's just my personal preference.

Also....Is there anyone on this sailing that was able to secure a Family Cabana that would like a (well behaved) family of 4 to share the cost and space with? We were unable to secure a res...of course.

Thanks for all your hard work putting this together! Getting SO excited.

Thanks for organizing this. I didn't receive an updated fish extender list or link to it. I went back to the original Google doc, but was unable to edit the list to add my children's names. I have three kids (2 boys: Peter, 8 and Gianluca, 6 and 1 girl, Isabella, 8).

Just sent my form to do the FE. This is our second cruise- first was on the Disney Dream in November of 2012. My kids don't know we are going on this one yet. Planning to not tell them until that day!

Now I just have to figure out the details of how all this FE business works. I am sure my kids will love it!
