PIF PIF PIF!!!

OK - activity bookings are all done for me!!! First time getting everything I wanted.

The only thing completely sold out at this time, and this was surprising, but I didn't wake up right at midnight, were private cabanas on the Family beach.

So if you had it in your mind you were going to get one, nope, they are gone.

All else, wide open right now.

ddixon, I did reserve a Palo brunch to hold it. It's at 10 am on the sea day. Not sure what we will do about this, but I wanted to have it and hold it for others use or maybe we will be going.

I got a Palo dinner, which is what we really want, on the first night. We had talked to the kids about it last night and decided that would be the coolest night to do it as they will be so excited to be in the clubs no one will miss Twice Charmed.

I am a little sad that it looks like we won't have the Golden Mickey's this cruise. I don't see it in old navigators for the 4 night cruises on the Magic.

Congrats on your PIF and bookings!
No worries if you decide to skip Palo brunch. I'll book at 10am if it's still available after my PIF date.
I'm actually glad to hear that the Cabanas are booked -- saves me from the temptation!
Congrats again! I have 2 weeks or so to complete mine.

It's a small group so gifts will be easy and it will be better... from me at least! I am home today with a sick child and I just finished my gifts to grandmakk's family, or at least the handmade portion of them! My son and I had so much fun doing it today! I'll give you a hint that I was re-living my childhood with a certain plastic stuff that shrinks in the oven! we had so much fun today!

This may be my best year yet! I am excited for the gifts I will giving!

Now off to do some laundry on this bonus day home....

Well Castlegazer, that was quite a teaser. We still have a few months, can't wait that long to see what you have made. Guess we will have to. lol Feel like an excited kid, thanks for talking us (grandma and papa) into this. We too are having a fun time getting things together. Love this idea.

I just booked this week, and we are super excited!!
I will be cruising with my DH, DD11, and DD6.
If its not too late, I would like to participate in the FE also.

We are very excited about this! Just some questions if anyone can answer. This is our first time doing anything Disney especially a cruise. Do we buy gifts for all the FE people and kids or just the kids exchange?? Also any tips or anything that we should know about cruising?

FE are your own decisions on how you want to participate - there are no regulations other than to get gifts you should be willing to give gifts.

I just sent you the link to the spreadsheet and participants thus far.

You can see how many adults and children there are and decide from there on a cabin gift, individual gifts, or a combination thereof. Totally up to you!

Everyone is so quiet!!!

Is everyone still on board? Has anyone dropped out of the cruise?

I was just thinking, while responding to a thread about birthdays on board, that I didn't say that we are celebrating my daughter's birthday for this cruise!

She is so excited because we normally cruise in April for my son's birthday and mine and this is her first chance to get the attention her brother has always gotten!!

She will be turning 9 the week prior to the cruise! And we plan to celebrate her birthday on Pirate night - the night she chose!!!

Our group is very excited for this cruise. We have been busy making our FE gifts and having so much fun. Can't wait to hand them out!!!!! Already considering an Alaska cruise next. Wish time would go faster now but once we board the ship we want it to go very slow. lol

I'm here too -- been busy booking more cruises while trying to keep this one a secret from my kids (trying to decide if it will be a Christmas surprise or one for Valentine's day). It will be my birthday the day we disembark - last year I was lucky enough to celebrate my birthday on Castaway Cay

Hi all,

I am sure you know about this lady, but I wanted to share this Dis site if you don't already know about her. She designs any Disney personalized magnets, iron ons etc. I have had her do about 10, she does not charge and they are AWESOME! I bought the magnet/sticker roll at Hobby Lobby for $9.99, printed the designs on glossy photo paper and made 10 amazing magnets for our doors. I saw these same ones on ebay for $14.00 each. Many people on the site were doing iron ons, I am not sure how to do this, but I plan on looking into it.

She has some great designs for the Bahama cruises, Disney Magic and Castaway Cay plus 100's of others. Good luck and be careful it became an addiction for me. I ordered, then saw someone else's and ordered more, several times. lol

There are amazing designers here on the DIS!

I make my own because I do digital scrapbooking.

I take my printout to Staples and get them laminated and then use self adhesive magnetic strips on the back of the laminated pieces.

Do make sure your designs are personalized because that is something that doesn happen - people or kids will move or simply take a magnet that appeals to them on doors if it's just Mickey or something non-specific to that cabin.

Not always, but often enough that it is recommended to make each piece personal.

I have never had any issues with fish extenders, but have seen magnets disappear from friends' doors. I usually only have one on my door as it's something we use from cruise to cruise and is personal to us and simply helps us find our cabin.

If you see anyone selling magnets or Disney designs made by them on E-Bay they are violating the law. The reason why everyone on the DIS does it for free is that anything Disney image related can be re-created but can not be sold.

Making iron-ons is really easy! You can get the iorn on transfer sheets from Hobby Lobby or Michaels or any craft store. Then the sheets print out just like regular paper. Be sure to reverse your image, though.

Then you either cut out the image on the sheet or iron on the whole sheet onto the fabric you have chosen, be it shirt or something else!

I do this with the same door magnet we use on a bag to be signed by the characters from guest services.

This is your first cruise!? Make sure your credit card has room to book for another one onboard because you're going to love it!!!
