Magic express question

Got the yellow luggage tags in the mail today for magic express, plus the Disney luggage tags as well. So from what I understand I am not going to luggage claim once we land in Orlando? Or should we pick up our own bags at baggage claim? If we don't have to pick up our bags at luggage claim then who does? Also how do the bags get to our room if I don't pick them up?

YOu don't need to pick up your bags unless you want to . The Disney workers gather all the bags with yellow tags and have them transported to the appropriate resort. You can expect to get your bags around three hours or so after you arrive at your resort, and the bags will be put in your room if you're not there.

The yellow tags are scanned behind the scenes at MCO and r routed to Disney. The tags and barcode on them say what hotel they go to at which point when you check in to your hotel the record is updated so luggage service knows what room you are in.

It may take upwards of 3 hours for your luggage to arrive to your room

If you arrive after 10 pm at MCO go to baggage claim to pick up your luggage as the service has ended for the day

We have done it both ways on different trips., picking up our luggage and letting them pick it up and deliver to room....When we picked it up, it was placed in the bus storage, then placed with the bell hops at the hotel, since our room was not ready.. When they pick it up, it is magically delivered to the room went it arrives to the resort. I will suggest properly packing a carry on with any items you would be needing for at least 3 hours after you have arrived at your resort, if you are planning on letting them pick up and deliver... items such as medication, extra clothing if needed and swimsuits, if your planning on swimming when you get to your room.

I will say on one trip, we did have one problem with them picking up and delivering to our room.. for some reason, our bags were not delivered to our room until 9 pm, (our flight came in around noon)... and we were waiting for it to put the kids to bed, (our youngest was still wearing night time diapers, and had to wait for the bag)..... but that was an isolated experience, and only happened once.

We have used Magical Express 6+ times and I've never picked up our luggage. Our luggage each time has magically appeared in our room several hours later It's perfect xo
