Magic Express Luggage Tags

We leave in 8 days......have not received our tags yet. Should I call?
FYI, we did only the book the trip about 3 weeks in advance....
 
I would be calling to check on this. At this point I dont know if you would get them in time, though. We leave in 20 days, and I got my Magical Express package with airline tags yesterday. Good luck and have a great time in Disney World!! :wave2:
 
Well I called today and didn't have much luck. All they told me was that if I had not received the tags by the day before we leave, to call back. THe guys suggested buying bright yarn to tie onto my bags to identify them. Then, If I don't have the special tags, I can deplane, go to the ME desk and tell them to look for them.

Seems to me that is just a perfect opportunity for my luggage to be lost and left at the airport. By that point I would think the ME/Disney luggage would already be headed to a different location.

Maybe we should just plan on getting our own luggage and then going to the bus.

They could not tell me if they had been mailed or not, which I found sort of odd.
 

Our ME luggage tags arrived yesterday and we leave in 15 days. Good luck with yours!
 
If I don't get my ME tags in time, I'm just going to drag my luggage with me. It's not worth, to me, worrying whether or not my luggage is going to make it to my room or not.
 
The ME tags are bright yellow so if you have your name tags and but something bright yellow on them and tell ME when you check in I doubt that there would be a problem. they're pretty thorough. :flower:

I'm confused. From reading this thread it would seem that if you do not receive your luggage tags on time and are using ME transport that they will collect your luggage for you? But, my TA has advised me that I will need to collect our own luggage if we do not receive our tags in time.
Could someone please confirm for me which is correct? :confused3

You don't have to get your own bags. You can attach something bright like the previous poster mentioned. Even if you don't do that, you can just describe the bags and give the baggage claim numbers to the ME employees.
 
We are in the same situation. Our travel agent didn't get our request for the ME in time to have Disney send out the luggage tags. We were told that we were signed up and we had two options for our luggage. Grab them ourselves or give the greeters at the airport our luggage descriptions and luggage check tags and they will pick them up. We have decided to do our own. I feel better knowing our luggage will get to the hotel at the same to as we do. Good luck to all.

I am also in the same situation. :rolleyes: Since we booked through Member Services for the DVC, we have been really getting no info at all from them. I've called 2-3 times to confirm with them but still haven't received anything in the mail and we leave on Saturday. I posted this somewhere before and just got a message about 15 minutes ago from a lovely board member who told me that ME has its own seperate number because the hotel reservations area pretty much knows as much as we do.

I'm going to call tomorrow... but in the meantime, here is the number: 1-866-599-0951

Also, I have been told by MS that if we don't get the tags, we simply bring the luggage claim barcodes from our airline carrier to the ME desk... and as long as we have reserved ME it isn't a problem!
