Of those who have used the ME service, when did you land & when did your bags arrive at your resort?

I'd be interested in hearing from people that have currently used it too. I know that when it first started people weren't receiving their bags for 3-5 hours.

I am interested in this too. We are arriving around noon and just going to take a carryon with swimsuits so we can go swimming in case our room isn't ready yet. Do I need to ask for early check-in prior to travelling or just take our chances when we get there?

I was very happy at how fast Magical Express was. We went July 17 and arrived at 9:30 a.m. We received our luggage around 11:00 a.m.

We arrived on 8/2 at 1:20pm. One bag was in our room within 3 hours. The other three arrived at 9:55pm. I was told the majority of bags arrive within 7 hours; ours took longer.

I'm also curious about how ME will work out for our Nov. trip. I have a client who referred to it as "Magical Distress" and complained about the long waits for boarding the shuttle, the luggage arrival, etc. He thought it was just a huge mess. It's still a fairly new service, though, and I'm hoping that all of those bugs will be worked out by the time we go. :)

Gotta Get To Disney! :moped:

when my uncle went in July it took them 45 min to deliver their bags.

not quite sure but it wasnt long, when I went in june we never recieved our tags, but when we got there we went to the desk they asked us a couple questions about of luggage, had us use a little sheet to point out our type of luggage and they said they would take care of it. We had everything we needed for the parks so had planned to just go and hope our luggage was back when we returned.

We stayed at Coronado (lovely property BTW tho I wasn't as impressed with the service...rant for another day ;) but I will say the people we dealt with during check-in were as pleasant and helpful as any we've every encountered at Disney) and we decided to eat lunch at the resort then go to the park. We'll we ate then stopped at our room and the luggage was already there.

I have heard many people complain about the service, but I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth it was for us, the wait for the ride from the airport wasn't all that long and the ride back was just as smooth.

I'll be using it again in Oct and hope to have as good an experience, in Nov my bro will be down a day earlier than me and will have a car so he will be picking me up at the airport...will be nice to have as personal driver :rotfl:

We will be using ME on Friday :Pinkbounc Our plane arrives sometime around 1pm and we will be checking into Pop Century. I'll post when we get to let you all know how it goes. :wave2:

Thanks! So far the majority of the times seem reasonable (not 7 hours though!) I was trying to figure out what to bring in my carryon.. We land at 9am so I am almost certain that our room will not be ready for a few hours at least.

Will be using the service in 11 days and am also curious. Thanks for the bathing suit tip, and I'll make sure to have an extra set of clothes for each of us in our carry-on. Look forward to more responses. :earsboy:

We arrived on July 11th and no problems with ME.....we got to ASM at around 1:00 pm and our rooms were ready. We dropped off our carry ons and went to the food court for lunch and then went straight to the Magic Kingdom....back to the resort around 7 pm and our bags were in the room. The wait at the airport was nothing to get upset about, 10 mins tops. The same going home....only the wait to get thru security was about 15 mins. We loved ME and are using it again in June 06. :cheer2: :cheer2:

We are on a red eye flight from the West Coast, so we arrive before 6:00 am. I'm planning to carry on the essentials, so I'm not too concerned if the bags takes a long time to get to our room. But do you think it will just spin on the caroussel until the Magical Express workers arrive? What time does the desk open?

Has anybody had experience with an early morning arrival? Also, how have the returns been. Was your bag at your destination?

When I got off the bus I could see my bags being unloaded from the luggage truck. It arrived in my room about 45 minutes later. As far as the trip home, I brought the bags with me on the bus since it wasn't one of the listed airlines, and they made if back home just fine.

We landed at 8 pm and we got to WL is just over an hour using DME. Our bags were in our room in less than 2 hours.

We arrived at Port Orleans French Quarter... our room was in Building 1. We got to our room and ordered a pizza. About 15 minutes later there was a knock at the door that I thought was the pizza... it was our luggage.

Pretty sweet deal.

Am sure glad to hear all this, good feedback on ME bus. We just got our ME Tags in the mail!!!! We are leaving in 22 more days, can't wait!!!!!!!!!

Dh and I are arriving really late...11:55pm. I have read that they stop delivery of luggage at 2am but was also told by the CM when I signed up that our bags should arrive that night. Do you think this is true? I really hate to bring enough stuff in a carry-on to get us through the night and into the next morning. We're already carrying a soft-sided cooler with snacks, a small bag of toiletries, and then our bag with cameras and planner.

In June we arrived at WL at around 3 pm and went straight to MK after checkin and then to Chef Mickey's for a 7 pm PS. Our luggage was in our room when we returned around 8:45 pm. We went prepared to go straight to MK on arrival and also had an extra change of clothes in our carry ons "just in case". We were very happy with Magical Express and will probably use it when we go next time.

We are using ME but bringing only carry ons so I won't have any checked baggage. Is airplane carry on baggage a carry on on ME too or do they store with with the rest of the luggage?
