I fly an airline that is not part of ME. I know I can use ME, but my question is this. Will the check in desk allow me to check in for my flight and print my boarding passes? I know I would have to take my luggage with me to the airport, but if they have an internet connection there, why couldn't they let you use it to check in for your flight?

Just curious.

Another thought. Could someone who rents a car use the resort check in desk just to check in and print a boarding pass? I typically go to CR to use the business center, but it may be easier if each resort offers an area to do this sort of thing......

If you could go right now and print out boarding passes for your flight at your resort, then you most likely can still with ME. But, I fly Song and I have not been able to do my airline check-in from my resort at any point. I think that if you aren't checking luggage it might be different. But, this is a TSA issue and it has to be approved by them (or so I believe) before an airline can take part of this in WDW, as part of DME. That is why there as so few participating airlines at the moment. So, I don't think you can do this, to answer your question in an extremely round-about way. Otherwise, we would have all been doing it already!

You might be able to get the front desk to print your boarding pass. If the remote check in works like it does in other cities the costs of the service is paid by the participating airlines and I don't think they will be printing boarding passes for non-participating airlines.

I remember this from another thread, where folks were talkking about printing out boarding passes from their resort. I copied it and am pasting it here. This is in the "Has anybody flown Airtran" thread:

you can pick your seats and print out your boarding passes within 24 hours of your flight. We did that at home for our flight down to MCO. You can then do the same thing at one of the Disney Resorts the day before you come home. I think the convention resorts do this (there may be a fee) but our CM at POR told us they are trying to set up the computers to do this at all of the resorts' Guest Relations counters. We actually had our DD pick our seats for us at home and she then FAX'd our boarding passes to us at POR.

So it sounds like you can do it, but maybe not at your resort, but maybe someday you can at your resort. Perhaps you should call your resort's Guest Services desk before you go and ask them?

If the resorts discontinue the courtesy of printing BP you could still go to one of the convention centers. The one in the Dolphin is open 24/7, at night it's self-service and you pay with a credit card.
