I'm on board with my 4yr old son. It's just the two of us. I'm a single dad that loves adventure. We are a lot of fun and looking forward to this cruise. We will be staying for 4 days in Orlando then take off on this cruise. My new to cruising and this will be my second time,first with disney.

FE = fish extender. You can see examples on Etsy. It hangs from fish outside your Cabin door & you exchange gifts with others on the FE list and leave them in the fish extender for them to discover. . Tons of great fun! You can get 1 gift for entire cabin, one for each person, one for adults/one for kids etc...no rules for what you decide to do. You deliver whenever you want during the cruise.

The list will have the cabin number, names, ages, boy/girl of each person staying in the cabin. Last cruise we ended up with 2 lists the group was so large.

You will love disney cruise and so will your on. My DD(darling daughter) will be 4.

That post should result in your being added. Decorating the door is so much fun, and DD loves redecorating doors. FE doesn't require decorating the door, but most on FE will decorate. Someone has volunteered to keep list updated. Closer to our sail date, they will put the list in a document and give us all access and everyone on FE helps make decisions about splitting list or not. If list is split u can opt to participate in 1 or more of the lists. You get gift(s) for all cabins on the FE list(s) you participate in and they give u a gift(s). You will deliver your gifts at some point during the cruise (before last night), and you will receive gifts throughout the cruise.

We had gifts arrive as early as before dinner the first night. I can't remember at what point they stopped coming but, seems like the slowed down after pirate night and none for last couple of days of the cruise.

You can get ideas for gifts from boards and etsy...how much you spend is up you. We got beach bags, highlighters, picture frames, eye patch and blow up swords for pirate night, rum, candy, stickers, crayons, notepads, beer koozies, pens, lots of wonderful gifts. So much fun.

Thanks guys.now I have a better idea. So you gotta make your own deal to put on the door and some people will have your name on there lists and put gifts on your door. I don't have Facebook,but I guess I could ask my mom,lol.

We are 208 days away from our cruise! This will be our 3rd and we are so looking forward to cruise concierge for the first time on Disney. Has anyone starting looking at excursions yet? I noticed we are at St. Maarten until 6:45pm, so I foresee taking advantage of the ordering MDR room service that night. We really enjoy the MDR & hope now that DD is older that we can enjoy the shows and pirate night fireworks as well.

We are concierge too. Forgot about ordering room service from mdr. I definatly want to spend as much time on island as possible. But I have no idea of what we will do. Would really like to just take a tour and stroll. We have done jet skis and dolphins so something different would be nice.

I think a tour and stroll + shopping maybe about our speed. I have subscribed to an eastern Caribbean excursion thread hoping to get some ideas.

Tell me more.. What's the pirate fire works and when? I'm getting really excited about the cruise.

One of the nights will be pirate night - a lot of families dress the part an it is great fun. Special dinner menu, party on the pool deck with fireworks finale. We should be able to find out which night by calling DCL, but not sure if too far out or not.

I just noticed on CruiseFish that our cabin just went up $100 per person. If you are waiting and watching, you might want to start booking before things go up too much more.

So who has been to these ports and what's fun to do. I'm sober so I don't drink and I will have my 4 year old with me. Swim with dolphins? What about holding sting rays? I need the insight please

My DD turns 4 in May and says she wants to kiss a dolphin, I doubt she would actually go through with it without a lot of coaxing and maybe not even then...seeing picture of little girl kiss a dolphin vs her getting that close to an actual dolphin, I am not sure I want to pay that much for the excursion to have her back out. Years ago, DH and I did the stingray experience in grand cayman and witnessed a young child being forced into the water terrified and screaming the entire time...very bad experience for everyone on the excursion. His dad tried to justify to all those there that he paid for the experience and the kid was gonna experience it....I just wanted to cry for them all and transport myself far away...

She loves the beach and aquariums, talking to people & exploring. I need to start working out our plans.
