Magic Dry Dock?

There are no cruises for the Magic listed after the Nov 7, 2020 cruise that starts in San Juan and ends in Miami. Is the Magic going in to dry dock after that?

There are also no cruises for 2 weeks before the WBTA on October 2. That is supposed to be for a dry dock in France. I have seen some speculation that the missing schedule after November 7 may have has stops in Cuba.

That makes sense about Cuba. So, now I’m sure will hear about the Magic doing cruises to Nassau, CC, and Key West, with an occasional Grand Cayman or Cozumel thrown in.

The cruise my friends were looking at included Port Canaveral and Castaway Cay. Not sure where they saw it though. She may have been looking at 2019 and hoping similar cruises would be offered for 2020.

Yes. those cruises are out of NYC, but there are none offered with that itinerary for 2020.

@SamFaniam was correct - after Nov 7th this year she will be cruising the Bahamas and Caribbean out of Miami.

Right now The Magic dry dock is still scheduled for Cadiz, Spain September 18 to October 1 2020

Nothing official from DCL. But the Wonder has sailed empty from USA to Europe (Cadiz) For dry dock a few years back.

Very little to loose going to Spain without passengers. They’ve been without passengers going on 2-3 months. A few days crossing the Atlantic isn’t making things worse in the grand scheme of things.

It’s relatively short, so I’m not sure they were planning on any major changes. I do know that some of the regular cabins were going to be changed to concierge.

This is what is planned for The Magic's dry Dock in Cadiz Spain 18 September to 2 October 2020

State rooms 8026, 8028, 8036, 8038, 8040, 8042, 8526, 8528, 8536, 8538, 8540, and 8542 currently classed as Category 4A, Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah are being changed to Category V, Concierge Family Oceanview Staterooms with Verandah .

These rooms are getting furnishings and amenities refurbed during the break.

The rooms are being reclassified for the 2 October Westbound Transatlantic from Dover to New York
