Could someone explain the dining rotation on Magic? If I were to request a specific rotation, what would that be and why? Also, who would i make those request to? Thank you!

I've been on 6 cruises and I have yet to figure out why anyone needs to request/change their dining room rotation. :confused3 I get my KTTW card in the terminal and figure out where I'm going to dinner. It never bothers me if formal night is in Parrot Cay over Lumiere's or Pirate night is in Animators instead of Parrot Cay.

I'd love to answer your question but I'm actually more interested in the responses that you receive. :goodvibes

Enjoy your cruise. :)

We have been on 8 cruises and have had formal night in each dining room. It doesn't matter to me which one we are in for formal or pirate night. The servers wear the same uniforms/costumes, the menu is the same, most of the people around you are dressed the same [formal or piratey]. Some insist that they can only enjoy formal night in Lumiere's or Triton's due to the decor. It honestly is not worth stressing about because you can only make a request. We have been on a cruise where the planned rotation had to be altered due to weather [pirate night was rescheduled]. We continued to rotate through the dining rooms and were in a different one for pirate night than what the "plan" had been.

We have requested a specific dining rotation ( the first time we have done this) and I will tell you why..............
We have a Palo dinner planned ( night three) and will miss one night in the dining room. I do not want our guest, who is a first timer to cruising, to miss the show in Animators Palate. The show is only on the first night you dine in the restaurant. Formal is night two, so if we are scheduled to be in AP that night, the show will be on our second visit ( night 5).

So, we requested a rotation that has AP first night, or second night....
So either LAPLAPL or APLAPLA.
We do not care where we dine for formal night.......we just don't want to miss the show.

Again, requests are just that. A request. We do not EXPECT anything. I think it never hurts to ask.
