Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) - PART II

Has anyone found some Disney wrapping paper? I just started looking today and could not find any.

I usually get mine at Wal-Mart. With all my Christmas decorations being Disney the only wrapping that goes under my tree is Disney(unless it comes from someone else).

Christie - thanks and I will give you a call.

As far as boarding - when you enter the terminal you will go through security screening then head up an escalator. At the top of the escalator you will be given a boarding card with a number on it. Once they start boarding they will call the group numbers and you will board with your group. This is how they were doing boarding the last time I cruised. Someone who has cruised recently can let you know if they are still doing it this way.

Okay - we are off to go wait in line for HP! I'll talk to you guys tomorrow!

HAPPY THURSDAY TO EVERYONE! We are at the one month mark!!!!!!:banana::banana: So exciting! Our house is turning into Christmas Headquarters this week-end since we are putting the tree up and outside decorations! If the kids were older I wouldn't worry as much about it since we are spending most of the holidays away but with the kids being young they are excited about doing all the traditional stuff!

So I do have a couple of first timer questions that I came up with after reading about Tea With Alice. This is something the kids especially our daughter wants to do and I had planned on signing up once we boarded. How exactly does boarding work? We plan on getting to the port early but didn't know if boarding starts at a certain time and how its organized? Does it go by order of which you check in? By last name? By deck?

Christie

Christie,

I'm a first timer too. I honestly have no idea what we are doing. All I know is I just need to get on the boat. LOL My daughter would love the tea as well. I am guess we can try and get tickets at guest services after we get on board.

I'm Michelle. I am traveling with my husband Sean, our 5 year old daughter Agnes, and my mom Ruby. What excursions have you signed up for? I hope to see you on board!

Angie,

Great pics. DH and I were looking at our DCL photos from 2004 & 2005. Wow. We look quite a bit different. Especially him.:rotfl2:

Gotta go get my South Beach diet egg substitute spinach muffins out of the oven!:)

I thought that most of the shops would be closed because it is Christmas Eve.

Are you wondering about Martinique? If so, I imagine the shops will be open because it is Xmas eve but probably close earlier. I'm trying to find this information out now.

Michelle

Lois - Hoping your Mom is doing better

I am pooped. Helped get about 110 of 124 crafters checked in and settled at a craft show my womens club is sponsoring. I wasn;t even scheduled today, but pulled 6 hrs ... :rolleyes1

It looks like I will be canceling my morning excursions on Martinique. Looks as though the shops will only be open until 12-1pm because of Christmas eve.

Getting so excited!! Just booked DH a Swedish massage and the exotic Rezul for the both of us....not completely sure I understand what it is..........
Also ordered two different baskets from Shirley. 1 for the big boys and 1 for the little ones. I think the kids will be so excited when they see the card signed "Mickey and the Gang". It's getting so close. We are heading to MI for Thanksgiving. Once we get back we'll only have 3 weeks until we leave again!!

:scared1:One hour!!! I have also been trying to find this out, was hoping that maybe because a cruise was in they would be open.

I am considering ordering baskets from Shirley.
I am wondering what would be best, 3 seperate smaller gifts that the boys can open individually or one large gift to share. I am not really wanting food/drink items as I think they have enough to eat available onboard just maybe a bucket and spade, coluring, some pirate stuff, maybe a cuddly etc.:confused3
Any help idea would be great!

I did the one large duffle with lots of sand toys and snacks for my little ones, then a basket full of soda and snacks for the big boys. I had her add the kind of Soda you can't get on the ship (and that we don't normally allow them to drink) and candy for the shows and movies. It seemed like a better deal to get two larger ones as apposed to 4 small ones. Hope this helps.

Was off line yesterday - finally succumbed to the kids crud - and everyone posted so much! Angie - great pictures, now I will recognize you. !!

I am so excited - is anyone is our group on the suites or higher cats? I know in the past people did state room tours. I would love to peak inside and see how the other half lives...

By the way, I am congratulating myself on my illness timing. We will have it all done for Thanksgiving - I don't dare mention getting sick on the boat...

I am going to use our long Thanksgiving weekend to get 100% ready. I have loaded up the Kindle at least.

We are staying behind in the parks fro NYE, but we have heard such horror stores about the crowds, that we don't know if we will go to the park. We are not scared of crowds or anything, but people on the regular boards said the parks can close at 11, and then after that, Fast Passes can take 5 hours to get on the ride. And, everything is so crowded you can't do anything but sit for hours. Has any one else experienced this? Kathleen

If there are spaces left in the wine tasting or one of the group Palo brunches, can someone let me know? DH has been doing some traveling and we've been so busy I've not been able to follow up on what has been organized, but we would  LOVE to do both.

Thank you!
Kimberly
