Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) - PART II

Hi Sarah - Never fear, if at all possible we won't let you and your sister sit alone! I've got a list started so let's see how many people join in with us. If no one else join us I will see if you guys can sit with us. We are a party of 8 so it's hard to add people to our group but we had 10 people on our Med cruise and we had one table.

Go figure, we waited so long to book the cruise that we were only able to get wait listed for early dinner seating. If anyone has early dining for 4 and is planning on changing to late, maybe we can make a change on the first day of the cruise. The wait list may open up, but I'd like to plan ahead. You guys have never seen my 4 year old pirate: when he doesn't get dinner on time!!

We will be bringing my Mother-in-law (about 70?) and Aunt (about 80) and they are tons of fun. Will you and your older relatives be at any of the "meet and greets" the night before the cruise, or onboard?
:santa:

Hi Liz,

I am sure I will be dragging my mom around to all the meet and greets once we get on board. I will be at the meet and greet at the Hyatt the night before the cruise but my parents live in Florida so they are driving down and spending the night in Cocoa Beach. Hopefully, we can get them all together.

Joann,

Thanks for posting the link, that was pretty cool! It looks like you guys do some great work over there.

Castaway Cay Cabanas
I am trying to find out if anyone would like to share a private cabana at Castaway Cay. We want to rent one of these but they only hold 6 people and we have 8 in our party. So we are considering renting 2 if we can get someone to share the second one with us. The rental includes: food, snacks, water, snorkel equipment, floats, sand toys, bike rental, and private showers. There may be some other things but this is all I know right now. If broken down it would cost about $84 per person. I would only need 4 more people. If anyone is interested let me know.

We would do it with you but we have a family of five (maybe our youngest is small enough that they wouldn't notice her ;)). If no one else takes you up on it, let me know, and we can see if we can work it out with DCL!

Have a great weekend, everyone!!! I'm so excited because we just booked a last minute three night cruise on the Wonder for Oct. 7th. It will just be me, DH, and DD, but it will be fun. We've never done a cruise less than a week, so it will be quite different. We were hoping to see the Wonder before she leaves, and now we'll be able to! :woohoo:

Hi everyone!

:welcome: to our newcomers!

I thought that some of you might be interested in what I do here in Uganda. Working for the U.S. Embassy, my job is to build bridges between Ugandans and Americans through cultural, educational, and information exchange. Here is a link to our newest YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eulZjst-WG0

We're pretty proud of it, so forgive me for posting a work-related thing, but I thought that some of you might like to see it. :thumbsup2

Joann

What a great video.:thumbsup2 Thank you for sharing it with us.

Welcome to all the newcomers!

Our close friends and frequent traveling companions booked this cruise the day before yesterday! They don't post here, but we're excited to have the Q family DH, DW, DS1 (20), DD (19) and DS2 (16) joining us on another adventure.

Sounds like Brent is great! We have had Christian and Peter as past CDs and they were both very good. Christian was a bit silly, but in a fun way. He was the CD on the most recent DCL promotional DVD.
:santa:

Brent! Brent! I have faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie dust that he will be our cruise director. :tink:

I think you will find the consensus here is that you chose ... wisely, Mike and Penny! :cool1::banana::thumbsup2

Welcome!

Should we stick around for the Holidays or go on a Disney Cruise?.........................DISNEY CRUISE! We're booked!:woohoo:

Cool. I've added both parties to the front page roll call. Welcome!

Please let all your teens know that my DD started a teen thread for our cruise.

TGIF!:thumbsup2

Lisa - thanks for doing this. DD and I were going to do this but we have been so busy this past week. I will have her post tomorrow.

Let's get these teens going!

We would like to be added to the FE group if it is still open.

Hi Pam,

PM tinkmischief and she will add you to the list. I think you might need one more post before you can PM but after that it shouldn't be a problem.

Hi Vanessa,

We would love to have you share with us if I can't get 4 people and DCL will let it happen. I will check with Jamira next week. I couldn't believe that DCL would not let us add just 2 people to our cabana(especially people within our traveling party). It's not like we are all going to be in the cabana at the same time. We just don't want to be split up. I'll let you know what I find out.

Thats great, I'll let my lot know. Is it a pure teen thread or can my 19 & 22 yr old join? Also where can they find it?

Here is the link to the teen thread. Hopefully Aaron can add it to the first post. I don't know what to say about the older kids - I have a 21yo and
22yo traveling with me too. I think the biggest thing if they do join the thread is they have to remember they are on a thread with younger teens. Maybe others with teens can post how they feel about it. I don't have a problem with it but my DD(14) is use to it because she has an older sister.

If we had enough interest we could also start a young adult thread or maybe try to hook them up on Facebook.

Hello Fellow Holiday Cruisers!!!!

83 Days 14 hours 14 Minutes and 32 seconds till boarding (EST)

We are currently booked for Magens Bay Beach Break in St Thomas. This excursion is a bit pricey to me, offering nothing more than plopping you on the beach and picking you back up for 47 a head adults and 37 a head kids.

Has anyone been on this excursion? Or, has anyone "done their own thing" and gone there on their own by getting a cab? Was it reliable? What are the cons?

Thank you in advance!
