I am planning on staying there in November for 3 nights and was wondering about this hotel. I got a rate of about $22.00 a night and was hoping that the good rate does not mean the hotel is not the greatest. What is it close to? They say it is 5 miles from WDW which is great because I am going to Super Soap weekend and want to be as close as I can.

Any comments, reviews, etc will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I've never stayed there but we did drive past it. It's not a hotel, it's a motel. It looked really out dated and kinda frumpy, like a typical raodside motel. I've read good things about it here but after seeing it on person I wouldn't stay there.

Please, please no one slam me for my opinion, it's just my opinion, that's all.

:)

Well thanks for your opinion Hallie! I hope it turns out better than it sounds now.

I did a search and found some reviews for you!!

Here's the link to the search I did, it brought up any threads that had the magic castle mentioned in them. I skimmed through them and the ones above seemed to have the most info.

Like I said before I've read lots of good reviews on these boards about it. Don't give mine any weight because it's just a drive by review-lol.

Hope this helps you!!!!!

I have stayed at the Magic Castle (5055 W 192) many times. I will be staying there again in November. Yes, the outside could use some sprucing up but I think they take their money and put it into their rooms. The rooms are larger than at the All Stars and are very nice.

They have very clean rooms and very comfortable beds. They get great TV reception and have more channels than at the All Stars. There is a refrigerator in the room and a microwave in the common room where you get ice. The deluxe continental breakfast was great – four kinds of cereal, toast, bagels, English muffins, bananas, apples, Krispy Kreme donuts, juice, coffee, milk, and tea. They also have a pool.

I highly recommend this place for budget conscious travelers!

They are also a VERY short distance from either Osceola Pkwy that goes straight to WDW (toll of $.50) or Hwy 535 that is not a toll road but doesn't have much traffic. Hwy 535 crosses Osceola Pkwy (when it is no longer a toll road) or you can go up to the Hotel Plaza Blvd that goes to Downtown Disney. It is an easy drive (at most 10 minutes could be shorter). Magic Castle is on Hwy 192 but I rarely take that road because there is more traffic on it. However, 192 is 3 lanes wide and moves quickly straight to WDW.

If you want more information or pictures of the place (inside and out), e-mail me and I will reply.

Hi Christine! If you have read the links to past threads that hallie posted you'll notice my name and Photobear Sam's name on these threads and yes we enjoyed our stay with the Magic Castle in Dec 2000 and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again as we only needed a clean place to rest our heads after a busy day at the parks. The continental breakfast is really great too. If you have kids with you you'll save a lot by eating breakfast there each morning.

Photobear Sam just got married this past weekend and she's probably on her honeymoon as we speak but she also has pics she'd be glad to email you too. Hope this helps and have a great trip!:sunny:

Thank you Hallie for all the links!!

Thank you to everyone else for their replies - I do appreciate them and I hope that I enjoy my stay as much as you all did. :) I will report back when I get back.
