Magic - Cabin 6556?

Just wondering if anyone had any opinions about this cabin. We had a Cat. 6 Guarantee and this is the one that has now been assigned to us.

Looks like it will be a great spot - midship and near the elevator!

We've been in 6538 twice, and consider it the perfect location for access to the rest of the ship and services.

One of the benefits is that you'll overlook the beach side (as opposed to the dock side) at Castaway Cay.

Being near both mid and fore elevators is a real benefit.

We sailed in room 6556 on the 1/26/02 Magic....it was the most perfect location!!! You will love it!

We were concerned about noise from elevators....not a problem!!
You could run right down the stairs to the kids' clubs. We had some pretty awesome views of castaway cay!!

We're in 6556 on SATURDAY! I'll give you a full report upon return.

We were also in a guarantee status until we got our docs and then got our room assignment. Did you book through DU? I think this must be a room they get frequently as my search here showed several people having this room and they all loved it!

I actually booked straight through DCL. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw what cabin we were getting!

We've got 6558 next year 10/03. I was a little worried about the midship location. Now I can relax. LOL Just 350 days to go.

Midship is the only way to go! You don't feel the motion of the ocean and on an outside cabin you get a wonderful view. I love the mornings just sitting on balcony with DD in my arms. You also get great pictures pulling into port. When we sailed last December they had a medical emergency and we were able to watch the crew lifting the lifeboats back onto the ship after taking the gentleman to shore between ports. I don't wish illness on anyone but the video of the lifeboats was amazing.
