Hi guys,

I just bought a knock off version of the Magic Bullet today from Kohl's. It is the Rocket2 by Bella. It was onsale for only 20.00. Anyway, it really doesn't come with very many recipes and was wondering if we could start a thread for the magic bullet.

Got any good recipes to share?

Thanks!

I'm so out of touch...not living in the USA anymore I don't hear about these new gadgets. What is a Magic Bullet? Just curious!

It's like a mini blender. I saw recipes for salsa, smoothies, scrambled eggs and also one for cheesecake. It holds tops 2 cups.

I see your location is Doha, Qatar. Excuse me for asking but where is that? It sounds so interesting. Did you live in the US for awhile?

Hi! We are in the Middle East. A tiny *****ula off of Saudi Arabia, but our own country. We like to say we live in a nice place in a bad neighborhood.

We are originally from the USA, just working over here for a few years. DH is an Accountant for an oil Company.

Have fun with your mini-blender!

If you have an Aldi's Foods near by you, be sure to stop by and pick up some frozen fruit for smoothies. They have excellent quality frozen fruit and keeping it on hand is a great idea. The prices are great.

I blend frozen strawberries with ice and a bit of water. Once it is blended well we add a little sweetner (sugar or Splenda) if it is tart. :)

I have also made numerous chocolate malts. Add two tablespoons of chocolate malt mix, 2-3 scoops of vanilla ice cream, 1/3 cup milk and blend well. EXCELLENT! :)

Thanks for the links! They are exactly what I need for my diet. But ooooohhhh, the malt one sounds so yummy that you make. Come on, cheating every once in awhile never hurts anyone, right?

Katy, have you traveled a lot with your husband's line of work? Where is your favorite place? I find it so intriguing where you are now.

Sandy,
This is our first overseas assignment. We lived in several different states in the USA. We will likely move back to the USA and stay put until all 3 boys graduate from high school. Wow, that will be about 10 years. We've NEVER lived anywhere that long:lmao: We would like to go somewhere else when they are grown.

We have been able to travel a bunch on vacations here. That is one of the biggest bonuses!

My hubby had a chance to work for an oil co but we decided against it due to the travel aspect. Sometimes I think it was a wise decision then other times I wish he would have. He would have made tons more money than doing the same work for the City!

How funny!!! A few posts up I must have misspelled this word....peninsula!!! I guess I dropped an "n" and the filter caught it. Too funny:lmao:

DH has worked in departments where he's had to travel a bunch, but in general he's home. We have moved 4 times in 20 years , but its all been good. Don't second guess decisions....life is good:)

Katy, I noticed that the filter caught it. I was wondering what you were trying to get across. How funny! You are right. No second guessing. We have had a great life and it sounds like you have too.
