I think the number is very high. I had about 20 on my account and when I ran into some issues and asked the IT people if that was the reason, they said I wasn't even close to the numbers that cause problems. However, having too many active MagicBands on your account can apparently cause problems, according to Disney. I don't know how many is "too many," but people have reported issues of MagicBands not working and being told by Disney they had too many active at the same time.
So the magic band my DD used on our last trip will still be good for this trip and I don't have to link it to this trip somehow?
Ok thank you. It's kind of confusing because when I go on MDE it says there are no magic bands attached to my reservations.Although you order MagicBands for a specific room reservation, they are not linked to just that reservation. Any MagicBand listed on the "MagicBands and Cards" page of MDE can be used for any upcoming visit to WDW. The only thing you need to do is ensure that the MagicBand is marked as Active.

Thank you. I appreciate it. This is our third time using them but the first time was over 7 years ago so we had to get new ones for our trip last spring. So I wasn't real sure on how it worked when you used them again. I appreciate the help.MB are not attached to any reservation. They are attached to the person.
Each new reservation when it’s added is set up to allow for the purchase of additional MBs but it doesn’t make them part of that trip.
I don’t order MBs anymore for any of my trips.
What that note really means is that you haven't taken advantage of the opportunity to order new MBs at the discount that you're eligible for due to the resort reservation. It has nothing to do with what MBs may be active and able to be used for that trip, it's just something trying to get you to buy new MBs.Ok thank you. As long as they appear on the "MagicBands and Cards" page of MDE and are marked as "Active", you can use them for any upcoming trip.weird question for all about an older magic band.... I've got the 2 magic bands from our covid cancelled 2020 trip ( thanks Covid) which were sent to us about Dec 2019 ( I think) . Would these still work for our trip this Sept ( 2022) ? they have never been used, and it would be nice to not have to buy them, if I can help it.....

And if they’re marked as “inactive,” a click will make them active again.thank you SO much !!!
I'm not even seeing them on when I log into our account. I did see where i can add in the number though. If I do that , it should then tie to our reservation, is that right ? ( assuming I first add it then mark it active ? ) I appreciate your help with this so much !!!And if they’re marked as “inactive,” a click will make them active again.
