Magic Bands

I ordered the new Magic Bands on the My Disney site due to not being provided after January 1st. Will they be activated and linked to my reservation?

They should be! Even if they weren’t, it’s very easy to add a band to your account! Enjoy!

MagicBands ordered through MDE for having an on-site room reservation or Annual Pass will automatically be linked to your MDE profile and marked as active.

If you order from shopDisney (formerly DisneyStore.com) or purchase in person, then you will need to manually link them to MDE.

I'd ordered mine a month or so ago via MDE for our May 2021 onsite trip. Just checked and they're still on my MDE at 'no charge'. I can see there's some IT 'activity' going on behind the scenes with the MDE 'order' and 'check your order' pages, though.

Waiting to see if they cancel my 'free' order and tell me to order again, charge me for the ones I ordered, or simply 'let it ride' as free.

i booked the room and tickets directly thru the disney site. then later ordered MB from them. can i assume they are already linked/activated ready to use?

You should be able to look at your MDE and see if they're on there. If not, I think you can link them. I'm not a WDW expert so don't know for sure. We do package and the MBs are part of the deal so they're automatically there for us.

You really don’t need MagicBands anymore. Your smartphone can do. Everything a MB can do. Plus there is a lots of mobile ordering only at counter service places. So unfortunately you really need a smartphone
