Magic bands

Me and my family are heading to Disney super soon but we are staying at The swan and we only can find one magic band and one with out a name but if we order them they will not come in time what should we do!!

Buy them once you get to Epcot and parks. If you have any from past WDW trips, pack them with you as the batteries should last at least 2 years and some keep working for longer than that.

You can active which ever Magic Band you are going to use in your MDE account. If your reservation and tickets are linked in your account they will be active on your band.

You can get a card. I'm not sure if they'll give you one at the tapstile or if you need to go to the ticket booth. You can show them your MDE with everyone in your party and get cards for everyone without a magic band.

For our upcoming trip, party of 5, four of us have received our bands but the 5th hasn't shipped. the order confirmation was received but no shipping confirmation on the 5 band. Is there a number I can call? I spoke to a DVC rep and she said she reordered but it's been several weeks and still no band.

If you'd like to reuse MBs from past trips but there's no name, there is a code inside the band that you can match up in your MDE to whoever was using it last.

Bring your smart phone with your MDE to the Ticket Booth at the front of the park and they will issue temporary cards to anyone who needs one. If you want, you can then purchase a MB from inside the park (but it's not required).

Magic Bands aren't really needed now that there aren't FastPasses. Aside from using it to get into the park, they're pretty much reduced to nothing but a fashion statement!

If you are staying at a WDW resort, and have not received your MB(s) you can pick up a (free) standard color MB(s) at the front desk.

The shortwave RFID that is used for rooms/tickets/etc does not use a battery. The battery is only for longer range RFID functions like ride photos and your name on signs.

Magic Bands are not required and for the OP not really necessary unless you have the Memory Maker for photos. Stop at guest relations at the Swan or Dolphin or at guest relations at your first park and give them your Disney ticket information and they will give you a plastic ticket card to enter the parks.

There are 5 or 6 standard colors so your mom could choose her color at check in if it doesn't ship - it won't be personalized however.

In the meantime I would double check her order to be sure it went all the way through - I ordered 4 for our December trip and only received 3, when I checked a few days ago the 4th was still in the "cart" so I went ahead and finished the order. Maybe this is your issue as well?

It was my understanding that they only gave out gray at check in.
