Is there any reason to wait to order magic bands once resort reservations are made?

We customize ours right away - but they wont ship or start processing them until i think within 30 days of your trip.

We are waiting. My kids will change their minds about what color they want/what "Disney name" they want on their bands about 100 times between now and July (when our cut off date is). In fact, in the last week, they changed their minds 3 times!

I did mine within a couple weeks of making my reservations. I changed it a couple of times for my upcoming trip, but decided to stick with the one I originally chose about a week before the cut off date. I figure I might change my mind on the one for my June trip.

If you customize your MagicBands more than 30 days prior to your check-in date, they will be processed once you are 30 days from check-in.
If you customize your MagicBands less than 30 days prior to check-in, they will be processed the next day.

I do it right away in the unlikely event that I forget. Then at 31 days out, I'll ask my kids again what color and change them.

you can change them as many times as you want up to the date they shop them, and doing it early will not ship them early they will ship the same time no matter what.
