Magic bands

Our Magic Bands arrived today (!) and I have a quick question. Along with the bands were little DVC member tags but no instructions for using them. Do I just slide them on the Magic Band and wear them around the park so I don't have to flash my DVC membership card to get discounts? That would be awesome!

It is just a souvenir. Attaching it can be done but it is not necessary and doing so won't prevent the need to show DVC memeber card for merchandise or other discounts.

They are called sliders. You will see others for sale in the shops. I like to position mine over the band connection as a secondary defense against losing it. No one in our group has ever lost one, but this just makes extra sure.

It's DVC advertising, you don't have to use them if you don't want to.

Some CMs will see the DVC Slider and remind you of any available member discounts. You would still need to show your DVC Member Card and a Photo ID to prove eligibility of discount.

Yes. There are sliders for sale on ebay, so wearing one is not proof of membership.
