:rotfl2: We are staying on site, arriving march 29th,when will we know if we will be getting magic bands, they look great :rotfl2:

it's still only in the trial stage at the moment but I can't see them not going live with it now. We found out we had got them after we had done on-line check in, so about 60 days before our holiday. Have you registered and linked your reservation etc on My Disney Experience yet? :)

It may be rolled out by then however at the moment they are releasing dates a month at a time about 5 weeks before the start of the month.

They just released the whole of November last week. I am currently waiting on December but don't expect it just yet...:rolleyes1

Thank you!! :cool1:

I hadn't noticed that they had added them for November! My bands are now customized and I've started making fastpass reservations! :cheer2:

Does anyone know what the long term plans are? For example, we are going at the end of July next year, and have booked a package with Disney (including tickets). If Magic Bands have rolled out everywhere by then and are here to stay, will guests get the bands automatically? Or will they just get cards unless bands are specifically requested...?

Thanks for any help.

Magic bands will be free to onsite guests and AP holders going by what has been released to date. If you don't customise them before your trip you will be offered grey ones at check in.

I think once rollout it complete and we come out of testing then the option to customise your bands will be on MDE from the day you book.

FP+ is rumoured to be getting a 60 day window.

Thanks for that!

I was perfectly happy with a paper ticket, the last 5 times I've been. It's funny how the thought of a 'magic' coloured band can get someone so excited, lol!

I've linked my reservation to MDE, I haven't bought are park tickets yet though, will this mean that we can't get the bands? When I buy our tickets is it easy to add them to the reservation if I've not bought them from Disney? :)

You will get the bands but without linked tickets you will not have access to FP+.

There have been some reported issues linking UK tickets to MDE. I can't confirm them as we have APs.

We couldn't get linked up to MDE with our six digit booking reference number that was issued when we booked direct with Disney,so i called them on the number given for problems and got a twelve digit number which worked straight away:goodvibes

pixiedust:We have registered with MDE haven't bought park tickets yet, will be purchasing them November, cant wait for magic bands, so much easier all linked in one placepixiedust:

We couldn't get them linked either but they still issued our magic bands. So somehow they must have known we did have them. We have made all our fast pass selection at well...all though I don't know why I bothered with that as we never plan our parks and just go where we fancy on the day. I can see me changing them everyday:rotfl:
