Magic bands with split stay including SOG and military salute tickets OH MY

We are going in Aug. Just put together a trip in the last two days….. need to go in and do the MDE stuff. I have NO clue how this works when staying at Shades of Green and the special discounted salute tickets. We will be at OKW the first 5 days and then SOG the last 3 days. If this is a big TO DO because we are staying at SOG…. I might just cancel and book a room only at a regular Disney resort and call it a day. Can someone shed some light on all of this. THANKS.

You won't get MBs at SOG. And I'm not sure if you can do FPs at 30 or 60 days. You can link the vouchers for the salute tickets to MDE though.

You should get to do FP for staying at OKW though. Salute tix are only 4 day tix though and you can only make FPs for valid tix in MDE.

We did this in February - 2 nights at the Poly and then switched to SOG. We were sent the Magic Bands ahead of time b/c we were staying in a Disney resort. When we got there, we went over to SOG to pick up our Armed Forces Salute tickets and we just added them to our magic bands. Seems like we might have had to stop at Guest Services to have them do that, but I'm not sure. It was no problem at all. I think that now SOG allows you to buy them ahead of time and sends you the voucher number so you can add them to MDE and make your FP reservations ahead of time.

If you already have your Salute tickets, you should be able to link them to your Magic Bands and MDE since the first part of your stay is at OKW. This mean you can do FP+ 60 days out for those 5 days. I don't think you'll be able to make any FP+ after your check out date from there.

If someone comes along to tell you how to link the tickets to both reservations, you'll still be able to do FP+ for the SoG stay, but you will have to wait until 30 days out from that reservation to do so.
