Magic Bands to Resort Reservation

Hello everyone,

Hoping someone can help me and don't know where to post this question. I have an upcoming vacation in July and wanted to link a Magic Band purchased with a resort reservation in September - yes, I decided to book a quick trip in July after booking the September trip. At this point, MDE states no magic band is linked with my upcoming resort reservation for July. I tried to link the band using the website, but it states already assigned. Is there any way to use a magic band from an upcoming or previous vacation - all my magic bands are listed on my MDE account. I just want to be able to breeze on Magical Express and go to a park upon arrival. Thanks for any information and help.

All of the MagicBands that appear in your MDE account, and are listed as active, will work for your July trip.

If your upcoming resort reservation is listed under My Plans in your MDE, and the MB number is listed under Magic Bands & Cards in your MDE, you’re all set. Nothing is linked directly to a given MB. MDE is like a house where your resort reservations, ADRs, tickets, park reservations, etc. are stored, and any MB linked to your MDE is like a key that will open the door to that house and connect to whatever information is needed at the moment, like your ticket when you tap your MB to enter a park. What MDE is saying about your upcoming trip is that you haven’t ordered a new MB via the discount you could get by having that trip booked.
