Magic Bands on Board?

First timer. Do you use these on board the ships?

No. The bands in the kid's club looks like a Magic Band, but really isn't. It's just used for checking kids in/out of the club.

They have the same function as a magic band as the kids touch the mickey head and they come up on the screen. They also can see where they are in the club when you arrive to pick them up. What I did like was the mickey zip tie they put on it so they can't take them off. I wish they had those in WDW for the magic bands and DS lost his ( we found it but still)

Heck, even as an adult I would like something to secure it. After mine fell off on Mission Space (realized it on my way out, ran back, and they had it...and did not seem surprised it had happened), I tend to take it off on any ride wilder than Spaceship Earth. Just to be safe.
